I gotta admit, on a story level, my interest dipped at the introduction of the FE/ET expansions. Just can’t shake the feeling that these consist of a different game entirely. I assume the melding story path was financially motivated, but I’d sooner have seen them tie together the various strands left over from the core story than introduce some never-before-heard-of Empire from the depths of the Unknown Regions that (completely offscreen) curbstomp the Republic and the Empire - seriously, how many of these ARE there in this universe. So, honestly, my expectations for Onslaught are kinda low. I suppose I really SHOULD get to pushing my one character close enough to be able to play through to where he can. Just the last time I DID, the game glitched out on me... I get what you mean on one hand, on how it changes the story pretty drastically. But on another hand I felt all our characters kinda became their own thing at the end of their class story, at least to me so the seperate alliance faction story made sense. As for the unknown regions story invasion, it is basically emulating a little bit the current movies where the first order suddenly pops out from those regions too. But I still think here is better because we have Vitiate bring in a connection. And I always felt the threat of the emperor never felt serious on the jedi knight story, so it was good to see it expanded on and affecting every class. Kotfe/kotet sort of brings that traditional Star wars story adventure from the movies, for better or for worst depending who you ask. That said, has much as I liked it, it would be good to give players a way to just pick the choices that happen on it when skipping it. Because ultimately doing it many times is not great and kinda takes away from how much I actually enjoyed it the first time. However Charles teased we are getting a pretty branched story now. And I think they did a good job wrapping up the zakuul elements for good given the resources that is. So I say give it a chance! farferello yeah since Im not seeing my characters, I can’t get too hyped on the trailer XD. But yeah they are using starwars.com platform so they should have gone all in on a full trailer to get a bigger push. But is nice to see Arn and a certain lightsaber. Not long to go now. Honestly im just excited for new content, even if it was a story about two senators il probably be excited just to get content XD. I want to play more story with my bois that ended their stuff ages ago. |

I enjoy KOTFE/ET (well, not certain chapters) to an extent but it does feel kinda... immersion breaking sometimes depending on what class you're playing. Having just taken my Smuggler through it, the writing really struggles for a reason for him to be in charge, like at certain points all Valkorian could talk about was how my dude had flown into/near a black hole and survived, or at the beginning when you're greeted on Marr's ship the dude after the Captain is all 'hey cool thing you did' like??? It's just really silly. Even during SoR you have opportunities to be kinda 'wtf why me? I'm just a dude with a ship' and earlier in KOTFE with Valkorian being all 'only you have garnered my attention, only you are equal' and my Smuggler really needed a chance to be all 'lol why?'
Unless you're playing a Knight or to a lesser extent, a Warrior, KOTFE/ET really struggles for the other classes. (More so non force users.) It shines nicely for classes who have companions that return in chapters, and chapter 14 is really nice for a (Mando) Hunter but... in general it's kinda dumb and forcing every class into a one size fits all really doesn't work. As much as I hate going back to Pub v Imp I kinda hope things make a little more sense in the long run? (Though even then, for the few classes not 'directly' tied to the factions like Smuggler/Hunter, the reignited war is also kinda meh there.) Though I'm hoping they actually do something good with the saboteur plotline rather than let it die out not long after Onslaught. If we are getting a branched storyline I really hope saboteur fits into it.

Salty rant ahead: lol so first they decide to retroactively stick set bonus back on shells, but if you deleted those shells you can't even go and rebuy the gear when 6.0 launches because of a bug they know about that prevents you from buying it with just credits and by the time they patch it, no one will need to buy the stuff anyway because they'll be 75 at that point and it'll have stopped working anyway.  I guess I'm going into 6.0 with zero set bonus on all my characters then. My only character who does have all his old shells is my Knight but at 50k+ a piece to pull out the mods/enhancements (and that's just 252 gear) it wouldn't be worth it. I know it was only going to work for 70-74 but it would have been nice to go into new and possibly much harder content, with the set bonus boosts.  6.0 needs to just be renamed to 6.0 - Credit sink and gear grind. Especially as if the rng gods hate you you're going to have to buy (empty!) set bonus shells at 1mil and 3k tech fragments. So that's 6mil and 18k tech fragments for one character and that's before you try and get the mods/enhancements you need. It's like they learned nothing from Galactic Command's launch.  God the story needs to be amazing because the more I hear about the gear changes the more I contemplate cancelling my sub. The fact they know of this bug with the Ossus gear and haven't even attempted to fix it before launch is a joke. |

So, finished Onslaught on a Pub Loyalist. Some spoilery bits below but nothing... overly spoilery: Arn is god damn adorable and he even managed to soften up my asshole Smuggler. Waaaaaay too much Lana, holy shit. Even at the end Theron felt like he was just there to look pretty whilst Lana took the forefront. Speaking of Lana, needed opportunities to cut her shit in sassing Arn and Tau, wtf. I'm kinda :/ that I only got one flirt through the entire thing and that was at the end and I got blown off anyway. Playing a stealther first really showed how padded everything felt with the amount of enemies. It felt kinda short compared to SoR or even Makeb. Amplifiers fucking SUCK. Rerolled each to about a 50k cost before I gave up, you constantly end up with shitty gathering/crafting ones I don't need. Also gonna have to get a crafter (I hope at just level 1 will do) because you can't disintegrate gear unless you have a craft selected. My Smuggler decided to keep the Alliance rather than join the Republic... though honestly he's more likely to go and try take over Mek Sha than anything.  Edit: Started on my Knight but stupid maintenance got in the way.  Edit 2: Finished Onslaught on my Knight; spoilers. *Screeches.**More screeching*   *Incoherent sobbing.* Finally! |

Side note; for those who weren't subbed or playing the game at the time (like me) the HK-55 - Shroud of Memory quest is now on the Cartel Market for 3800CC. Kinda high but I'm just happy that I can get him back. \o/ Edit: PSA If you're playing an Imperial be careful how you approach Sana-Rae after finishing Onslaught.   Scourge pissed I took his job? ??? They're hostile to Imperials. |

Expansion was um quite a ride yesterday! Had an annoying bug but otherwise really enjoyed my first run on my jedi knight. Make sure you don’t have a kotfe/kotet chapter active before doing onslaught, even if its just a replay one, its going to give you a comp bug where you don’t get a comp on certain parts. For those romancing Theron, he has a decent amount of content all things considered, granted Lana has a bit more on the pub side so far but considering I thought Theron would get just one line, he got a good amount and even a romance scene.
As for the story itself, I thought it was pretty fun, like farferello said Arn is quite cute. This time we get more development of him instead of Tau but she is still active on it. I enjoyed the fresh air of a lot of new characters while also nice returning ones from stories from years ago. And the new planets are both beautiful. Overall it left my satisfied and also very curious for the future with its last set up to Scourge and Kira farferello still better happy you finally got that romance! Yeah I need to get that HK chapter though thats quite the price, might have to wait some sub CC. But it unlocks for every character at least I guess. Very curious to try Imp later today! |

Lol im jealous cuz im only on my second character mostly cuz i spend a lot of time trying to fix that one bug but at least I know how to avoid it and hopefully is enough. But at the same time I got content to look forward to, rip my other games (sorry fortnite and destiny friends, it was fun XD). There's another small romance scene in the expansion but is more of a quick line, this is more the final one XD. Theron romance Content Spoiler: farferello imma go now nuts on deciding making a new alt or use one i had on stand by for that scourge romance, is so cute! I just want to hug him, like he doesnt know what a hug feels until now
Scourge clearly not the romantic type when he is giving a mighty speech XD.

Apparently you can get that bug if you had an open chapter of KOTFE/ET. No idea what would cause it if you don't... I've finished it with four characters now and other than some flashpoint mobs evading/glitching on my Imps I've not had any other issues. lol nose squish, and I thought him missing my characters lips during the kiss post Nathema was adorably awkward. Lana being a cockblock as always, lol. But that was a niiiice long kiss. Was that the only flirt option with him? Scottphoto Yesssss join me. Scourge needs all the love. \o/ Considering my Knight has never been involved with anyone it's pretty sweet to think they'll be navigating this new thing together and figuring it all out.. plus, that was his first kiss and likely Scourge's first kiss in 300 years.  I just love the idea of Scourge seeing him in a vision all that long ago, waiting for him... and then they end up together romantically. God that's ridiculously sappy for someone like Scourge. I love it.  |

Some of the new Amplifiers seem useless like one that lowers fall damage by a smidge, or one that makes transport costs slightly cheaper, but this one has to be my favourite dumb one and the name alone is just hilarious to me. |

But currently there’s some issues with both if you romanced them on imp. I'm both amused and confused that the Imps are the ones getting screwed out of the flirts. Mostly because despite their poster boy being a Jedi the game feels very much like it's designed by an Empire fanboy - I'm also amazed they've not fixed it yet considering how many Sith Waifu stans exist. Maybe they were so busy writing in the flirts for literally everyone else Impside they forgot to include some for Lana and Theron.  (Seriously wtf, why do the Imp's get so many more flirts... granted you can kill two of them and the third escapes, but still. It's very uneven to Pubside.) |

Honestly even the newer romances have been bricked. Unless it's Theron or Lana right now, no one seems to get anything romance wise and I'd be surprised if the newly added ones will get much more than the romance initiation scene. I suppose I should be thankful I don't have any vanilla class romances. Even the newer flirts like with Jonas don't seem to go anywhere. He makes excuses with a Pub and you don't even get a flirt option as an Imp Saboteur in Onslaught. And at least 2? 3? of the flirts you can get Impside can also be killed in the same story so... |

There’s an interest thread going on with one of the story leads about romances, old comps wedding, etc. and he wants feedback on what people would find best if you want to chime in and anyone else on the forum! I let him know on my personal account that I think in terms of marriage, just having our relationship status would be great. And use the example of onslaught, where you can tell a character you and Lana are together when the character wonders about her. Having moments like that for all romances to acknowledge our marriage or just romance in general would be great. I also added I want to see more old comps open up for everyone, in the same way Kira AND jaesa do (i forgot about nadia when I posted it oops lol) but for male characters also. I also saw the original poster askes for bi quinn farferello, so there’s more of us XD. Just scroll through these replies, I’m bad at posting tweets here lol. |

I made a few tweets in reply. Honestly I'd even take a 'hey we're married now' like most of the class story romances got. Hell I'd take more mail from them right now with them referring to you as their wife/husband - even to have the blurb in their name change from being 'engaged' to 'married' if they can't do a proper marriage cutscene. And give the other older-newer options (Koth, Arcann) that chance to be engaged. Then they need to let Khem do his freakin ritual already so he can sweep my Inquisitor off his feet.  More than anything I'm disappointed that Bioware feel to be playing it safe. They've only made female companions return with a bisexual option. Khem and Scourge were never romances to begin with so it feels like they were 'chosen' to be romances because they're less likely to piss off people doing that, than they would making a prior 'straight' male option bisexual. We all know how some people react to even the slightest suggestion that their uwu romance option likes dick.  If Bioware can give the Quinn haters the opportunity to make him beg for his fucking life, or just outright murder him something like ten years after the Quinncident, and fucking gloat over it, then give me the option to let my Warrior who adores him, romance him. Give me all the Quinn's from the Quinn haters who murdered him, my Warrior would treat them better.  This is a hill I'm willing to die on. Of course I'd love for Torian and Andronikos romances, but they get waaay less vehement hate than Quinn. |
