Hmmm why biowhyr Torian is my biggest most wanted companion to be reveal as bi from old companions, but I didnt play every origin so i guess I'm biased. I dont care too much about Andronikos (hello Khem fucking Val finish that ritual and tear me apart  ) but his comments toward male Inquisitor are flirty as fuck lol |

But the fact it has only been female romances who've returned as bi, whilst the guys were never romances to begin with just comes across as shady as fuck. |

It has been a while since I put out a post so I figured I would stop into the forums and get an update out to everyone. I’ll provide you with a brief update about what’s coming soon, but first and foremost want to address the issues we’ve been experiencing with our Tulak Hord server this past week. It’s being very stubborn and every time we think we have it nailed, it decides to kick some players from various areas in the game and won’t let them back in for a while. Not a great experience for anyone and I apologize we haven’t fixed it already. We believe it’s an intermittent hardware issue, making it difficult to isolate, so we’re rebuilding that server and will deploy a new one later tonight. We’re going to have to take the European servers down, but we’ll look to get it done while most of you are sleeping. We will let everyone know when we’ve completed the effort.
Let’s talk about Onslaught! Like many of you, I have been really enjoying the expansion and all the changes we made for gearing. I now have quite a few toons up to level 75 and virtually all of them are at Item Rating 306. I’m spending time changing stats of individual items, playing around with amplifiers, and seeing what changes will make me feel OP. What feels good is being able to play anything in the game and benefiting from the new gearing system. I also have read many comments over the past couple weeks about areas you’d like to see changed, and as you’ll see starting with next week’s patch, we are addressing them and will continue refinements over the coming months. Keep the posts coming as they’ve been very helpful to the team.
We are extremely pleased with the launch of the expansion. I don’t want to jinx it, but from the game standpoint, it has been very smooth with relatively minor issues all around (the Tulak Hord server being the exception). We fixed a number of bugs a week following the expansion and we have a number of additional bug fixes being released in next week’s patch likely on Thursday the 14th of November 2019. I know we usually release on Tuesday, but there’s a few items we want to include in this patch, so we gave the team an extra couple days. There is also a little surprise for everyone included with the patch, but we will let you know what’s up on Tuesday.
Patch 6.0.2 will be our last update for 2019 and we’ll target its availability mid-December. It’ll have additional bug fixes along with the following:
Life Day returns and has new items for you to enjoy.
It’s our 8th year anniversary, so the vendor will have some new items.
We’re adding new missions on Mek-Sha, including new heroics.
You’ll be able to recruit Tharan for your Consular and as he says, “It’s Tharan, not spelled the dumb way”.
Ranked Season 12 for our PvP players begins and winners from last season will get their well-deserved rewards.
Crafting changes – it begins! Yes, we’re taking a hard look at crafting and will make some adjustments starting with this patch.
We have Game Update 6.1 planned for early 2020 making its PTS debut in December. When we’re ready to have you take a look, I’ll share more details about the update and give you a glimpse into our future plans for SWTOR. Don’t forget Star Wars™ Celebration is planned for August and in Anaheim, California next year. We’re already making our plans to be there. Would be great to meet a bunch of you at the event! Keith I have to lol at a few things, like how excited he is about the gearing and how practically all his characters are in 306 and how 'good' it feels to play anything in game and gear up (lol, the people spam running Red Reaper or Hammer Station for 12-14 hours would like to have a word with you.) Some fancy PR talk and little else. (Technically all mine are in 306... because you share a basic 306 set whilst doing the real grind of tech fragments and sorting through like 8 different versions of each modification.  ) Will be interesting to see what new quests they add to Mek Sha. I just hope they're easier than the current Heroics. One Impside is just... annoying as hell to do because of the damage incoming, and one Pubside I can't solo if the Light option is taken because it ends with a fight against two golds and a champion and they're all considered droids (so can't sleep dart one,) whilst the Dark option gives you two golds/champion but they're all human so you can knock one out. Excited to get Tharan back... though still rolling my eyes they're talking shit about Theron (and him spelling his name the ~dumb~ way.) Both curious and dreading what the 'little surprise' will be though.

 Somewhere in deep space my Smuggler just had another meltdown. 'Almost certainly' isn't the same as 'definitely' but... ya know, it's something. He does come off as... younger than his concept art would imply - I don't think I'd ever romance him as a Jedi because he's still a Padawan and that imbalance of power makes me uncomfortable regardless of the genders being switched... even if he got promoted to a Knight at some point - though my Smuggler has already laid claims so I doubt I'd romance him with anyone else anyway. |

Oh snap he confirming romance. Well maybe my consular will romance him, and given my consular is slowly dragging through kotfe right now, there’s no rush XD. On Keith message lol, I mean is being good in that I been able to get friends to do fps again, and I actually have a reason to play my highest level character to do them, before I would only do them to raise a low lever char of mine. But also I control what fps we play XD. No hammer station spam allowed! But yeah once I get full on one character, we shall see how I feel. Is still being slow ish. Granted, I haven’t felt the need for high gear on these fps, or pvp, so I don’t know in the long run if I will have need for it XD. Even Operations I done post 6.0 ran pretty good, granted it was story mode. Glad the Tharan update is coming already and is not up in the air. Hope there is any more surprises in there. Otherwise this is the last update for 2019. But at least they are starting a new pts on december so that means considerable content is coming soon, since is getting tested. So maybe won’t be long for that story thing to follow at end of onslaught |

Vector has that brief sorta? flirty bit with the other Joiner woman who dies (almost forgot about that, and also the woman he was engaged? to, but she never accepted him for who he is now,) Andronikos had the past history with Casey(sp?) and Torian shows interest in Mako that I don't think really goes anywhere? So they could be bisexual. Zenith could also work on return but I don't want them going the safe route again of making a non romance, a romance option, that's the easy way out.  Torian's very dedicated to you, and then you've also got Andronikos taking on fleet ships because he thought you were being held hostage on one, and Quinn gets himself imprisoned because he refuses to give up searching for the Wrath. Like... it wouldn't be out of character for any of them to have realized their feelings for you after you disappeared. I'm biased, but Quinn especially on Iokath when you take him back so willingly... he's so shocked and surprised and his expression hurts my heart whenever I do Iokath on a Warrior. Like... he's willing to give up the Empire for you if you side with the Republic as a Warrior. That's not a decision taken lightly considering how important the Empire is to someone like Quinn. You mean more to Quinn than the Empire does, and the Empire was everything to him. |

Reminder that the first explicitly canonical same-sex couple in the Legends continuity were a pair of Mandalorians in the Legacy of the Force novels. So yeah, Torian being bi would absolutely make sense.
Of course, it does take me back to “make them base game bi, dammit.” Whatever excuses they offer, it doesn’t change the fact that at best, them only being opened up to romance in present expansions shortchanges the romance, compounding the badness of same-sex romances not being available for literally a couple dozen plus hours of gameplay...

I didnt even mention Aric Jorgan because I dont know why but I have this feeling he falls under this stupid tropey shitty -non-human male romance for straight lAdIeS- category like Garrus, Thane and... Jaal at the beginning. I want him more than Torian (I mean, stoic and honourable badass furry alien? my jam) but I think expecting Torian to be a mlm option is the choice that has more chance to become a romance for male characters. If Bioware Austin make both of them a MLM option I would be so fucking happy XD In the meantime I need to make a lovely Jedi Consular blue cathar to romance Theron in the future (I have seen the companions and I think it's safe to assume that Qyzen Fess or Zenith are not becoming romances and I have no interest in the humans, Tharan even has "Beautiful women" in his "likes" section Y I K E S  I need to finish my revisited canon Dragonborn before though. |

But they don't really touch the base game at all, because touching that would lead to a chain reaction that could damage multiple things connected. We already get bugs from just applying kotfe onward, you don't want to imagine bugs from vanilla onward lol. Also the team that worked on that vanilla coding is a different team at this point no longer working there I imagine. Personally, in some ways I also like the slow burn romance, because a lot of times the romances in class story feel rushed. Like we don't know each other that much and we are already about to make out. While sure the chapters for vanilla take place in a course of 3 years I believe, playing in game doesn't feel that way. Is for example Nadia, she comes in very late game, and doing a romance with her is super rushed. Where as I like the idea that we had these feelings we didn't express because we were focused on our task, but through all we been through, I realized I can't live without you, you complete me, yada yada. This is why also Torian, Quinn and Andronikos make the most sense right now, cuz they really express that. You save Torian over Vette, you forgive Quinn no matter what, and Andronikos you forgive he is apparently super dumb XD not knowing is you the commander. ANYWAYS YES TORIAN. CHarles did mention some time ago they had plans to reunite with some comps that haven't talked in ages like Torian and Vette are the names I remember he said when he mentioned also koth, which eventually we did get somethin on Koth. Which yeah given the time frames, Vette and Torian are the longest without recent content right now for LIs as well as Jorgan and Kaliyo (but screw her XD), and they don't have an alliance alert per say (mind you they make up for it with active kotfe/kotet presence). But really hope we get for even more characters, cuz that big decision in onslaught should warrant a chat with our LIs or potential LIs, specially Quinn even. I conceptually don’t mind slow burn - I write fanfic, for god’s sake, complaining about slow burn would be pretty hypocritical of me - but I dislike it being enforced like this. Like, I do understand trying to comb through all the coding and such, this game is almost ten years old now.
But I feel like it should at least be A GOAL to retroactively add in base game bi romances, something that they work on as at least something to approach. I get the practical realities of game design impose a lot of restrictions on matters, but when you literally get less content because it wasn’t offered sooner... I mean, it’s the Kaidan thing - yeah, there is a different dynamic within a relationship that needs that extra time to establish itself, there comes to be an undercurrent that adds weight and meaning because they can’t spit it out, but it’s still different because games mechanics don’t allow it, rather than it being a player choice to hold back.
I know there’s no perfect solution to this at this point, but... Considering the issues I take with the initial lack of bi romances in the base game, considering BioWare’s tendency to half-ass same-sex romances, I’d at least call finding a way to add that base game content a worthwhile goal.

It seems like they totally forgot about Koth. I mean did he ever even show up after that one FE/ET chapter? I can't remember. Aric is my favorite romance. It flows very well and seems very natural for his character. I can't see any reason he (or any of the other original males) couldn't be made bi. He nearly gets court marshaled because he refuses to believe you're dead! Yassss space-kitty. Love the reunion chapter also. Which of course made all the characters/romances who didn't get something like that feel cheap in comparison. I mean, on one hand yay that they've started adding in more s/s romance options, but for the love, just go back while you have the VA in studio for this new stuff and have them record a few new lines for the opposite gender and then fix flags or whatever. Yeah, it's probably more work that I'm making it sound, but holy heck is it needed. (Wouldn't be needed if it was there in the first place, but ya know...) If I ever get another boosted character she'll be for Lana, because I have yet to do her romance. I just can't handle the thought of slogging through the entire game romanceless because yeah, they do add a nice layer. It'd be like eating cake without frosting. Dry cake. Frosting is the whole freaking reason I like the cake, dammit. While I could just switch over to Lana after romancing someone else I just feel bad when I hurt pixel feelings.  |

It would so great if they somehow manage to add bi romances in the beginning but I'm not expecting that sadly  My Khemmancer playthrough was soooo long and I dont even know if they are going to add more content anytime soon, I mean there are a lot romantic subtext between the Sith Inquisitor and him in vanilla origin story, like they share this bond (both are bonded by honor/DashadeSpaceMagic, both were slaves, etc) and I somehow I didnt starve because I did the fling with Theron, but yeah... a romanceless playthrough is a pain  I want to climb that beautiful Scourge like a tree but... And I need to do the playthrough myself so no boosted character for me  This is gonna take me a lot of time because I usually play the same character over and over again to make a perfect playthrough  played DAO like five times, and it was Ryllel Amell, I dont know other origin stories yet, same with the original MET and Skyrim (like I said revisiting my Dragonborn again) I'm the worst roleplayer gamer ever I just love my bois edit. just bought with CC the cathar race and ... I cannot make a blue cathar! WHY  lol edit2. ok been playing with CC a little, I'm mad I cant make a blue cathar but what can i do ... y.y  Rypfir is ready for that spy booty... someday. He's gonna have to wait a little u.u I need to do some kind of infographic or scheme to know what origin story and what mlm character I'm going to romance for each playable class. I know that if I want to romance Scourge I need to pick Jedi Knight, so that class is settled already. I chose Jedi Consular for Theron because he/she is a force sensitive class (important for lore reasons I guess) and I have no interest in the already romanceable male companions. For now I have: Sith Inquisitor (Sorcerer)  Khem Val Jedi Consular (Sage) Theron Shan It will take me years to finish each class/origin story since I dont play much sadly, so I have a lot of time to think about what romance I'm going to give to each class. For now the only mlm characters left are Koth Vortena and Arcann, honestly I dont know what class suit them better (and all comes to persona taste, that too), still 6 origin stories left and only two mlm characters. Bioware give us moar! |

dgcatanisiri Oh no yeah I agree that I would still love they could change it; it totally sucks to role a new character, specially agent, where is raining flirts only for straight options. I fully agree on that. And sorry if I sounded like I was doubting you on anything, didn’t mean it that way. I just think is ultimately going to be a tough call, to rework a vanilla thing, that would have to change the coding of everything after it as well. Example: since you have Torian on kotfe/kotet, that would need to be fixed too. They would have to really delay content forward for it. Mainly because is a really small team working right now. Otherwise I would be on board to do a whole movement for that right this moment. On the mass effect hand though, if they do announce a remaster we definitely need to demand for that cut kaidan content though since is literally there, and will probably have a much more budget for it. lilyena Koth got content recently in the story bit before onslaught, called Hearts and minds. You reunite alliance members to see how are things, and Koth gives you an idea what he is working on at the moment. And also has a theron romance scene, thats basically a raincheck from the poor content in jedi under siege for him. I think Koth’s can be romance content too, farferello can confirm that one for me. Thats interesting on Jorgan, ill have to run it myself or watch it, cuz when Im playing male with him, it feels like he just going to kill me any moment XD. The one hella flirty with me is Jonas, but he still not a damn romance  . I like that Elara is one of the few romances I felt wasn’t like trying to romance me though if I didn’t engage, from what I recall. Well once you get to Lana, you’ll have way too much frosty XD. She’s good though, I love romancing her with my smuggler, as her falling for a dork fits a lot when she goes all ugh, when your so flirty at first lol. Davrin's boobs im only romancing one char theron but I still take the kiss on shadow of revan and cancel cuz thirsty XD. You don’t like the gray dark blue styles for cathar? Either way looks good! I feel for Koth a bh/smuggler or even trooper fit him pretty well. Arcann speaks of a connection, so I feel a force one makes more sense. Theron is in deperate need of jedi force powers, so being his jedi/sith is a good choice too But yeah you should still do each class story since is unique each one. Its like buying a new rpg each story. Just gotta facepalm through the no male flirts, particularly on agent. On jedi you don’t get much. On knight theres only one single flirt besidee the female comp thankfully. And on consular I believe is the same. My consular is a good religious boy that won’t flirt.... for now... mind you he has Qyzen to cuddle with Keith said there was some surprises on the next patch too. I know this is stupid to have hope for this now, but I will throw all my coins on the wishing well for Torian  . Only thing keeping me hopeful for content from him is because he got new lines in a very small bit in new expansion. So I hope that means they got the VA to do a few more lines for something else. Unless they actually give us quick the story epilogue end of onslaught as surprise instead.

Scottphoto I took that Theron fling with no guilt, been thirsting for Khem YEARS and the spiky goofball aint responded to my advances, let's be friends with benefits Theron I gay'd my way through that gay starvation Bioware put us through like a champ. First Cytharat, then Theron and finally Khem   the only class I would have left is Sith Warrior for Arcann (I thought as well that he fits better with force sensitive classes) but if Quinn becomes a romance that means no romance for me lol I dont know the character that much, I know he's hot though  also a lightside Sith Warrior to redeem Arcann sounds super nice!!!!  Oh so for Koth it has to be smuggler since Torian is the companion for bounty hunters. Still, a lot of years, months, reincarnations to think about this XD So: Sith Inquisitor (Sorcerer) Khem Val Jedi Consular (Sage) Theron Shan Jedi Knight Scourge Sith Warrior Arcann Smuggler Koth theoretical romances: Trooper Aric Jorgan Bounty hunter Torian Imperial Agent??? all lightside heroes/antiheroes ofc, I cant play villains  at least every class has sub-classes so doing another playthrough to test the class I missed for Quinn sounds good. edit. ALSO FUTURE ARN ROMANCE BITCHES edit. I forgot Noel, i didnt like those gray dark blue colors, I wanted bright blue or light variations, he looked like a black panther, I mean that's cool but not the color I wanted I remember an imp cathar npc with the colors I'm talking about kinda, but I dont remember his name

I've romanced Koth on... four different classes. The one I enjoyed the most was Smuggler because they both have a love of ships and you can sass him during the rescue about flying yourself  He does get a little bit of romance content during Hearts and Minds and it adorably implies you've been on dates before like the one he's suggesting. It still didn't make up for his sheer absence during KOTET and Nathema, but at least they hadn't forgotten about him altogether. I would -love- for them to make changes to vanilla story and add in bi romances/flirts with the companions/npcs - but given their spaghetti code and how easily things can break (I still remember the three months my Warrior was without Quinn for, when Ossus came out. That was a dark time) and people (myself included) still have Acina and Malcom both listed as dead in their contacts because Bioware have yet to fix it - or the countless quests that are bugged and broken - I worry they'd break more things even if I desperately would love to romance the companion in vanilla story. Mostly I just hate how some classes play out. dgcatanisiri and I have had many the rant about the god awful Alderaanian lady who hardcore comes onto you during the Smuggler story and how the narrative forces you into the situation with your companion and another npc making excuses to leave you both alone. There's also Guss AND Corso acting like you're some manwhore in the class story and accusing you of having girls falling at your feet, or worse, you having babies all over the galaxy. Ugh. Also the way you let Akaavi down when she's flirting is incredibly mean, and also implies you've been flirting even when you haven't. So you have to take the other 'don't be nice it's creepy' option so at least you don't come off as a racist dick instead. Just a regular dick. I hate the classes where you're made to be an asshole for turning down the flirt, like when Mako talks about your muscles and you're an arse. Or how Kaliyo in the Agent story accuses you of 'loving and leaving all those other women but you can't escape me' which is so damn frustrating if you a: never have Kaliyo with you outside of the forced bits you need her for or b: never flirt with her or anyone else. |

I'm so unbelievably pissed off right now that them fixing the other romances, or fixing Kira/Scourge attacking Imps on Odessan (the only things I can think of that would have caused it) somehow ended my Knight's relationship. What the hell kinda of spaghetti code held together with duck tape are they using?  edit: Thanks to Scottphoto I've been DM'ing Charles who said it -should- be a visual bug as they've not changed any variables that should have caused it but he is going to send my details to his team to look into my character data. Still not going to touch that Knight anytime soon though. |

My Sith Inquisitor got a break up letter after I’d finished Eternal Throne with him from Koth that shouldn’t have happened - it talked about “the things he’d done” changing things between them, when he’d done everything right by Koth and had gone light side.

But I have a Hunter who would totally go for Torian if he became an option, also. But the fact it has only been female romances who've returned as bi, whilst the guys were never romances to begin with just comes across as shady as fuck.

) Corso seems very protective of 'the women folk' but I don't think he ever comes off as overly flirty around people himself, even if he does approve of a male smuggler hooking up with a lot. *Shrug* Jorgan could go either way, I've done his romance, it's very sweet but very -him- in the same way (you kiss like you punch XD) Same with Felix, Quinn. Vector has that brief sorta? flirty bit with the other Joiner woman who dies (almost forgot about that, and also the woman he was engaged? to, but she never accepted him for who he is now,) Andronikos had the past history with Casey(sp?) and Torian shows interest in Mako that I don't think really goes anywhere? So they could be bisexual. Zenith could also work on return but I don't want them going the safe route again of making a non romance, a romance option, that's the easy way out. 
I need to finish my revisited canon Dragonborn before though.

. I like that Elara is one of the few romances I felt wasn’t like trying to romance me though if I didn’t engage, from what I recall.
. Only thing keeping me hopeful for content from him is because he got new lines in a very small bit in new expansion. So I hope that means they got the VA to do a few more lines for something else. Unless they actually give us quick the story epilogue end of onslaught as surprise instead.
also a lightside Sith Warrior to redeem Arcann sounds super nice!!!! 
at least every class has sub-classes so doing another playthrough to test the class I missed for Quinn sounds good.
He does get a little bit of romance content during Hearts and Minds and it adorably implies you've been on dates before like the one he's suggesting. It still didn't make up for his sheer absence during KOTET and Nathema, but at least they hadn't forgotten about him altogether.
