That is really upsetting. Sigh...Bethesda despite its flaws was always a good source for multiplatform games. I'd hate for them to be xbox only (pc too I know, but I can't afford pc gaming). Especially since BioWare-is not the rpg king it used to be.  |

Which is so bizarre to think about. Like the market decided that beth’s catalogue + arkane’s + tes online are worth just 3 minecrafts... |

Oh wow, that's actually a pretty smart purchase by them - especially doing it right now. I know Bethesda has lost some of its sparkle to certain gamers because of Fallout 69 or whatever it's called, but potentially having TES6 (if it ever actually happens) be Xbox exclusive might keep people from buying a PS5.

Yeah, this is one of those moves that scares me - more monopolizing, the more damage that's done to the industry as a whole. Once a single company owns much of the releases, it leads to a slowdown, because they don't want releases stepping on one another. Plus the fact that for there to be multi-platform releases of new Bethesda titles, it now means that Sony will have to pay their biggest rivals on the market for the license to produce them. The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises originated on PC, so them being Microsoft-exclusives is... not exactly out of the realm of the possible.
I had been planning on getting the PS5, due to Horizon Forbidden West and Miles Morales. But this may end up making the Xbox Series X (I SWEAR someone at Microsoft is trying to call that thing the Sexbox...) the more viable long-term purchase, just because the ongoing franchises are there, both from Bethesda and Obsidian...

With the next Horizon coming to ps4 I guess I won't miss out on it at least, but it'll suck once the next God of War game hits...but honestly most of the other exclusives are meh for me...so Maybe I will have to jump ship. It is not what I want though. I want the systems to all to have Fallout, starfield, and elderscrolls damn it!

I still want to add to that huge Microsoft acquisition- I'm somewhat happy. I own PS4, but in all honesty, I was tired of Sony fanboyism literally everywhere. Everything about Microsoft always been ignored, while even the smallest news about PS5 had a huge presence in the media and on certain forums. There's one polish game site I hate because even the smallest thing about PS5, like some dev's tweet saying "I like this new pad" had its own article. This site was filled by this shit.
And I had enough of these Microsoft "concern threads" on forums like resetera. I felt like MS was trying to do their best, but still getting criticized for nothing, while Sony isn't really doing anything and still getting praise. They still got away with a huge price raise of PS5 games, while MS has Gamepass (I wish I could use this, but my internet...)
Anyway, now I can finally see some good competition.
And I like chaos.
Memes that came out of this are golden.
I'm still undecided whether I'm going to buy PS5 or Xbox, I still have tons of games to finish, so I don't need a new console right now. Slowly leaning towards Xbox Series X, because I heard the prices will remain normal. I'm huge From Soft fan and I hope they won't be exclusive to Sony anymore (I can skip Demon's Souls remake) same with Quantic Dream games (I like them too). They're not heavily tied to Sony anymore, so I hope their next games are going to appear on MS console too. But idk, their track record is uneven, so I don't know if their next game is going to be good.
Bioware will remain multiplatform so it's fine
