I remember renting Resident Evil 2 for the N64 and having to fight that Giant Crocodile (or Alligator), because somehow my memory card had a save file that started the game in that area it was pretty odd. But that game gave me a fondness for Claire Redfeild, and Leon S. Kennedy (it kinda bummed me that they changed Claire's voice actress in Revelations 2, and I wish she'd be a protagonist more often).
Resident Evil 4 is probably my favorite one, can't go wrong suplexing those cultist Ganado, super palm striking them as Wesker, or breaking necks as HUNK.
In RE 6 I liked Leon and Sherry's campaign, and Sherry was who I used most in the Mercenaries mode, and I gotta remember to go through the game again since I picked up the PS4 re-release.
I've watched some LP's of RE 7, and I only really liked Jack.
To the OP's question, I like Beefy Chris because 1. his arms seem big in a silly way 2. his face looks like a dog to me (can't explain better than that) 3. He punched a Boulder! (Plus I associate Roger Craig Smith's performance with Chris Redfield, so this is Chris Redfield to me)

hamsteru How was Resident Evil 4? I still have a love/hate relationship with that one.  I'm going to watch Resident Evil Vendetta soon for my birthday and I am so excited!  It's going to be wo9nderful seeing Rebecca again in the canon story after so long! I think I might play through RE7 again soon before watching the movie. @tarkus Ah, I think the N64 version of RE2 is my favorite! I got myself a nice, mint boxed copy of the game a few years back and it's the version I always play now. I love the little extras they added into that version. It was very unfortunate that they decided to change Claire's voice...I haven't played the game myself but I can't imagine Claire without Alyson! On the bright side...Capcom has contacted her several times after fans made it known they were unhappy with the change...and there have been hints that she might be involved in the remake! I'm personally not a fan of RE4...I just love Ashley and Carolyn Lawrence. I love Sherry and Lisa Yamanaka in Resident Evil 2....but I can't say I was a fan of her character in RE6. It has been a while, but I remember preferring Jake. I would've like her so much more if they brought back Lisa to do the voice instead of the awful actress they chose. As for Chris' voice actor...I have a preference for Joe Whyte. He really seems to love the Resident Evil fans and has been very active in the community. He's even done in-character readings of files from the games! I really loved his performance in the Remake as both Chris and Richard and I would've loved for him to return for more games. Roger Craig Smith is decent...I'll wait until watching Vendetta before judging the new actor.

How was Resident Evil 4? I still have a love/hate relationship with that one. Still didn't finish it, let's say that laziness is my worst enemy, meaning that I just found time to finish first part of the first chapter.  As usual, it's weird to go back to controls of this game as it's a mix between tank and advanced controls haha. Wish Leon had to save Luis instead of Ashley. Chris and Piers are a cute couple, but Leon is my husband irl.  No problem Chris is my hubby anyway. |

...Sometimes it's lonely being an Ashley fan... ...But Luis is kind of hot...  hamsteru I know that feeling too well! Planning on going back to it anytime soon? Twice now I have tried to play the original Resident Evil while on vacation...only to stop about halfway though the game....although I blame Game Of Thrones. I spent my vacation time binge watching that show instead of playing video games. I miss tank controls and fixed camera angles! ...On the topic of Ashley...every time I hear Sandy Cheeks from Spongebob I immediately think of Ashley and vice versa. |

Well...we got news...just not the news I wanted to hear...
Alyson Courts WAS in talks with Capcom to return to the role. One of the companies that was bidding on localization asked her to work with them in Vancouver for voice over. Then...the company that ended up with the localization rights asked her to work with them in LA to provide Claire's voice....until they turned around and changed their minds to take the cheap way out by using non-union actors.
It's very unfortunate because we could have had her...if they didn't decide to be cheap.
Such a shame, she really wanted to do it.
That ruins a bit of my excitement for it...but the fan in me will want to experience it anyway.

So for this year, nothing about RE 2 remake... Yeah it's very sad about Alyson Courts' situation, it seems that a lot of companies (devs) start to face trouble about this voice acting union story and prefer to go cheap (same issue for Life is Strange 2, they had to chance voice actress of the main character). I truly hope we'll get more news about RE2 soon, this game has been in pre-prod since ages already. |

I just got back from watching Resident Evil Vendetta in theaters (twice!) and I loved it! I can't believe it has been five years since the last CGI film...but the wait was definitely worth it. I'm glad I was able to experience it this way, twice! Chris was as hot as ever (even though I prefer his beautiful blue eyes), and I loved seeing Rebecca back in action. The voice acting was very good as well. I loved having Matt Mercer back as Leon, and both new actors for Chris and Rebecca did a wonderful job portraying them. As far as the Resident Evil 2 Remake goes...I'll definitely miss Alyson Court. I have a soft spot for 90s voice actors because there is a certain..."charm" to them that you don't get with more modern/current voice actors. It was pretty groovy that two of the series' leading heroines were voiced by veteran X-Men voice actresses and I will always love Catherine Disher's voice! On the bright side...the producer for the RE2 Remake has recently stated that the remake is "coming soon"...so maybe we shouldn't give up hope of seeing it this year! Another unannounced Resident Evil game is also in development. It's exciting. I really love this series.  |

I saw most of the RE: Vendetta film from a Let's Player's stream, and I liked what I saw (the animations really improved)...and I also really liked that goofy John Wick Gun Kata stuff they had going on during their big action scenes!

Hey guys, sorry got very busy with job and everything... Davrin's boobs : I know those gifs and I love them haha! I have to watch the movie, Chris is back to his handsome-bara self. Still no news about the "Not a hero" DLC nor any upcoming game. I honestly can see games like REmake, RE0 be ported to Nintendo Switch, those games would fit perfectly. If Capcom does that, I buy myself the Switch a-freakin-sap! |

Davrin's boobs I really do hope you get a chance to see the film! It's a lot of fun seeing the three working together, especially Rebecca! I also watched Resident Evil The Stage a few months back because it is considered canon and gave us a look into Rebecca's life. It's available subtitled on YouTube and I'd recommend it for more Piers and Chris as well. I'm happy she's been getting a lot of love and attention, I couldn't be happier with the perfect RE0 remaster and her comeback. I also totally agree that Chris is gorgeous in the film! I love those gifs! hamsteru Hey! It's good to see you here! I'm honestly afraid of what they might do to poor Chris is that DLC! ...Unless he gets a boyfriend. I'd be okay with that.

I finally watched RE Vendetta and I loved it. It was as good as previous CGIs. The only thing that felt off was a lip sync. It was weird way too many times. Gotta admit though, Leon is the only guy I'd be willing to try with some man meat... so to speak Probably a blasphemy ans lesbians will hate me now. Also, I'd be really happy to see in another CGI movie Helena from RE6. Maybe working with Leon again? I liked her way too much. But I blame Laura Bailey for that. Love that gal  |
