I'm terrible at horror games. It's not about being a girl, I just get way too scared and stressed out with genuinely scary stuff in-game. I literally couldn't make it through the RE 7 demo because I made the mistake of wearing headphones and nearly died. (Kudos to the people who designed the ambience) I know some girls and boys who can get through stuff like that easily, but I am not too proud to admit I'm easily frightened. I'm better with movies, and I think games are just more stressful because you actually have to play instead of just hiding under a blanket.
So, while I did not and do not plan on playing RE 2, I did watch a full playthrough on YouTube.
Seeing people in the comments argue about Leon x Claire and Leon x Ada was 100% the best part.
I've only fully played one RE game, and that was five on co-op mode with my brother. (Who was a horrible teammate, for the record.) Everything is less scary with a buddy, even if said buddy would occasionally troll me by getting me to jump down to zombie infested areas first while he stayed behind and laughed at my demise.

Now that my initial anger/disappointment with the Resident Evil 3 reveal has settled, I'm going to try and go into this "remake" with a more open mind just because of how much I love this franchise. RE3 is very special to me so I want to give this new version a chance like I did with the second game's "remake". It's not what I want, and not what made me fall in love with the series. If they just stated the truth and called it a reimagining/reinterpretation (like Silent Hill Shattered Memories) I'd be less annoyed. But with that said, I am curious what will be kept from the original and what will change.
(I'm really not a fan of Jill's new design and voice.)
Catherine Disher will always be the best Jill!

I finally got a chance to play the Resident Evil 3 Remake demo...it's definitely not my RE3 and not how I would've wnated it...but there were a few things I liked about it as well as several things I didn't like. I'll admot though...Nemesis was definitely terrifying compared to Mr. X. I'll probably but the game on sale and ay it when my PC is finally fixed....vit I'm definitely going to install the mod that fixes Jill's "classic" RE3 outfit to actually look like the original. I'm still not a fan of her new look. I'm also definitly using this amazing shirtless Carlos mod.  I'm still not a fan of the "reboot" direction the series has taken and it seems RE8 is going to continue that...Can't say I'm happy/excited about what I've read and I'm not looking forward to playing as a straight white guy again. Really hope the series gets to what I love about it at some point. Soemthing else unrelated to RE3...I'm really happy that there seems to be a lot of support for Chris Redfield being a part of the LGBT community. There's currently a petition going around to make him canon LGBT and it was even shared (and I'm assuming signed by) Chris' official motion capture actor. Chris was an important part of my teen years and a big inspiration to me (alpng with the wonderful Rebecca Chambers and Cybil Bennett from Silent Hill). I always saw him as a gay man and I'd really love to have either some confirmation of him being gay/bisexual or at least not have him end up with a woman. It would be amazing for a character like him to be one of us and it is about time Resident Evil had canon LGBT representation! Davrin's boobs I still like your idea of RE2's note and Claire's response supporting him being LGBT and it seems that's how quite a few people look at it!  |

I don't know why, but I just can't play the games. I think part of it is the way the old games play though. I'm not great with the tank controls (seems like I heard it called that back then anyway?). |

Yeah...Resident Evil is pretty much dead to me. It's no longer the series I fell in love with and helped me get through my teenage years. It hasn't been the same ever since they gave it the reboot treatment with RE7 and the remakes....they completely miss the point of what made the original games so great and learned NOTHING front the original game's remake. These are no longer the characters I love.
The last real Resident Evil game was 6...and I think the original series got a final farewell with the film Vendetta that brought back Rebecca. I have good memories of that film and loved Rebecca's return....and I will always have the classic games...I'm glad I got to see Rebecca one last time before Resident Evil was rebooted for modern ganers that don't care for/understand the classics.
I still haven't played the third game's remake and I highly doubt I'll get around to it anytome soon or RE8...
I just don't understand why they felt the need to destroy the classics with the remakes and are even going to remake 4...

For me Resident Evil and its essence have been dead since RE4, the franchise might be alive commercially but for me have been dead inside for decades. Code Veronica was the last true RE in the main story for me (ofc Outbreak, Revelations etc were pretty good, but still spin-offs)
From what I have seen from the remakes I like it, even though is not true classic angle and all that, but it's decent. RE3 remake I heard they did skip some parts of the original RE3 which is a pity. I still gotta play them, someday lol
Those leaks are truly disgusting though. Even worse than first person view lol

So I just bought deluxe edition for steam of Resident Evil 2, the fact that I updated my potato PC is getting me in dangerous consumerism territory lol also I want to get this mod for classic Claire, the new "classic" one is not doing it for me I dont know what they were thinking... also this for future me and you thirsty people  |

I finished Claire A yesterday and now I can say that I loved the game, lol if past me would read this, I was such a bitch lmao hey dont blame me I dont like what are they doing to present games, RE7 eww and it seems RE8 is going to be more of the same but I think this remake, at least from what I have played is worth a try, ofc there is a stuff that are missing (no big zombie crocodile  ) but at least they got characters' personality right unlike... cough remake Lara cough also this has become one of my favorite scenes in the franchise, Claire is a fucking queen, my favorite character  I started Leon B but I gotta say that I never cared about him, he's just a pretty boy with no personality and his womanizer ways turns me off but I cant wait to see Ada! |

I finished Leon B and I gotta say that I kinda disappointed because there is no continuity or consistency at all between both scenarios, the originals did it a lot of better, except cutscenes ofc there were the same puzzles and riddles pretty much, that "final fight" that I put of Claire earlier Leon also has it in scenario B, like it does not make sense at all. It's a decent remake but it could have been a lot of better. But hey, I was wrong, big zombie gator is in the game but I think is Leon exclusive or scenario B exclusive I'm not sure. I started Leon A with unlimited ammo and classic OST with Leon having the noir suit (dat ass) and the modded classic Claire suit. I might install sexy Mr. X for reasons |

Finished Leon A and Claire B, like I imagined is not really worth it, same stories, same cutscenes, different item locations. If someone has not played RE2 ever, I totally recommend playing the original for story and then the remake for a fancy and beautiful looking movie. Still that scene with Claire is awesome and it's the best thing this remake has  and I dont care what bros say about canon, Claire A and Leon B is the canon path with Claire finishing Birkin in the train, it's the way it is and what makes sense after all she went through with that fucker, change my mind 💅 Ohh another thing that bothers me about this remake is the lack of crossbow!! Claire was hunting zombies with a crossbow before it was cool  Dunno when I'm going to buy RE3 Remake, hope soon tm |
