I still haven't played six but I know the series storyline pretty good. Vendetta Huh? Never heard of it.

Ah, I've had my fair share of those over the years. I quite enjoy them, but I can't remember the last time I dreamed of it...
To be fair though, it has been a while since I've gone through the classic games properly.
...But I must admit I miss having naughty dreams about Chris.

I've been feeling very nostalgic for the classics again recently, and the mention of dreams also does bring back a lot of memories.
I'd really love to play them again...I have an entire box full of just Resident Evil stuff waiting to be played! I have a really, really large collection of Resident Evil games and merchandise.
There's just too much for me to do at the moment to give them the attention they deserve.
I was able to play through RE2 for its anniversary though and that was a lot of fun.

...Also this is probably only interesting news for more serious fans of the franchise...but we've made progress in tracking down the actors from the original Resident Evil games!
We finally got confirmation that the live-action actors and the voice actors were different people and Wesker, Chris, and Barry have been tracked down and interviewed. Jill's actress was only in high school when the scenes were filmed! Maybe someday we'll also be able to track down her elusive actresses and have them interviewed as well.
As far as voice actors go, only Barry's has been interviewed as far as I know, and Chris' voice actor unfortunately passed away several years ago.

I finally had time to take a break from RPGs and returned to the world of survival horror.
It felt so good to be back in Raccoon City after so long!

I started off by playing the Resident Evil Zero Remaster and the game is just so beautiful and atmospheric. They did such a wonderful job with this one. The backgrounds looks gorgeous and are so detailed! The game looks better than ever.

Next was the Resident Evil Director's Cut DualShock edition. You know...the one with the "bad" soundtrack?
This one definitely took me by surprise! I was genuinely caught off guard by some of the jump scares and found my self constantly terrified at what was around the corner! I forgot how deadly and unforgiving the Hunters were in the original game and was killed by them a couple of times. Once they get you...you're done for! I decided to just run away from them all because I had more than enough herbs and sprays to survive their attacks.
As much as people hate the soundtrack for this one...I love it! There are some genuinely good tracks there...and I can even find some love for the weaker ones. It even has one of my favorites in the entire series...

I can't describe how this one makes me feel...but is so fitting and I'd even say superior to the original.

The last one I played was the remaster of the Remake.
It will honestly always bother me that this one wasn't given the proper remaster treatment that it deserved, as was done with Zero (where they even brought back the original developers!). A lot of the backgrounds are of a very poor quality and they really stand out, especially in the caves and aqua ring shark area. It's obvious that they put no effort in making them look good on modern consoles/televisions, and the game suffers for it. You can't see the beauty and details that was meant to be there, just a bunch of pixelated, blurry images. Even the backgrounds that were completely redone in 3D (I know of two areas at least) look pretty poor. The game is still very atmospheric, but it is sad that this one wasn't handled as well and as beautifully as Zero.
That said, I manged to complete the game without saving (for the millionth time) even though I wasn't planning on it. I enjoyed it so much!
Graphics quality aside...this probably is the better game between Zero and the Remake.

Also Davrin's boobs ...I never noticed until now how tenderly Chris holds onto Richard when they first see each other again! He also seems so heartbroken when telling Rebecca about his death and she offers her condolences after.
...I think this just reinforces my headcanon about the two, haha!
I am so tempted to write some fanfiction about the two and even get some romantic and NSFW artwork commissioned!

I've missed the world of classic Resident Evil so much! I am tempted to just continue playing all of them again, but I have to play Pillars Of Eternity 2 first and so much more!

For a second I thought this was some sort of weird indie horror game where you play as a rat that's probably Playstation VR exclusive, but then it turned into Resident Evil 2. Good swerve, guys.

If it's only first person again, then bye bye Resident Evil for good

Over the shoulder is fine for me, even when classic RE1-3 had fixed camera angles


P.S. I heard that we will have a choice in first person cam and third person hmn.. More options is always cool I say
