Alright, I dunno if a lot of you guys enjoy this license but for my part I always had a crush on it. I still have to play the PS4 versions of RE4, 5 and 6 even if I already played them. But serious question: Which Chris you like the best?

But like TR I'm still living in the past and I dont like the new games that much, I have yet to play RE6. My favorite character is Claire Redfield, she is my everything in this saga, even if her brother moves my mountains

Resident Evil is my favorite franchise! It's been such an important part of my life for so long now. The original Resident Evil was my first video game. My family was full of gamers back on the 80s/90s and they loved horror! I loved watching them play through the game and trying it out myself. Of course, it still gave me nightmares at such a young age! I rediscovered my love for the series and survival horror games in my early teen years. I've played through the classics so many times. I've spent so much time familiarizing myself with the lore, characters, everything! Over the years, I've amassed a large collection of Resident Evil games and various other collectibles. My favorite is my very rare Resident Evil 2 Claire Redfield statue. I've posted some pictures over in the collector's thread. I have a lot of love for the classics. I love each of them so much and I can never decide which is my favorite. They're all wonderful in their own way and I have such fond memories of them. I count the Outbreak games as well as Dead Aim to be among the classics, all three that I also have a lot of love for. I despise RE4, which I know is a very unpopular and controversial opinion. I can go into greater detail what I dislike about the game if the discussion comes up. I love RE5 so much for what it is...a fun multiplayer action game with a very hot protagonist. I have only played RE6 once, but I remember enjoying it despite its flaws. RE7 was a step in the right direction for the series. It really felt like a proper survival horror game again. It was wonderful being scared in a Resident Evil game again. I have to agree with Davrin's boobs about Chris...my nostalgic self has a lot of love for classic Chris with his beautiful blue eyes...but my dirty little mind loves how HOT modern bara Chris is...I even love his new desing from RE7. I mean...just TAKE A LOOK AT THIS! It's Forest! Oh. My. God. Yes I had to insert a Barry reference. But really, you can't look at this and tell me he's not gay! Seriously Capcom, just confirm that Chris is gay already and we can all be happy. These characters are all an inportant part of my life. My favorites have always been Chris, Rebecca, and Claire. It's thanks to them that I have found my path in life. I like Jill best when she is being voiced by Catherine Disher. She gave one of the strongest performances in the series and portrayed the character very well. None of the other actresses even come close to being as amazing as Catherine Disher.

Hell yeah RE5-RE6 Redfield all the way! Even if I find RE1 Chris somehow nice (easier for me to make a cosplay of it haha). My favourite Resident Evil will always be the remake/remaster of the 1st one that got released first on Gamecube and more recently (2 years ago) on other consoles. It is such a piece of art... About Resident Evil 7, I liked what they did with the license (back to the roots) but got disappointed about Chris' look... I miss my bara-hubby T_T Also, something else... I am a huge Nivanfield. I mean, come on, I'm sure Chris and Piers hooked up at some point, they are just so cute togayther!

Yaaaaaaaaay, Resi thread!! One of my favourite franchises ever, and my second favourite from my yoof (before ME and DA arrived). The first game was truly a game changer(har, har) for survival horror. I still remember that first zombie scene, when it slowly turns around. Still gave me chills, even with the REmake remaster on the XB1 recently. It's hard to pick a favourite, but easy to pick the weakest ones - 5 & 6. Andrew Mancer is right, 5 was a very fun action game. And I did like Sheva as a character, even if she was a bit useless as a companion at times - but in the franchise that gave us Ashley Graham as a useless deadweight to escort around, she can be forgiven. I was also happy to have Jill back, even if her being Wesker's bitch was infuriating. As much as I loved Wesker as a villain, it really was time for him to go. It was getting ridiculous, even by Resi standards. 6 felt like it was trying to do too much - individual chapters were good. Leon's felt the most "old school", and it was pretty awesome to see Sherry Birkin all grown up and kicking ass. I've always had a soft spot for Ada, so I loved her chapter. The overall story is probably the most ridiculous one they've ever had, and that's saying something!! Games 1-4 were truly classic games, and I still have all of them. I really liked the fact you had to play the game twice in RE2, from both Claire and Leon's perspectives. Nemesis probably stands out a little more, because Jill Valentine was my Lara Croft as a teenager. She and Claire are probably two of my favourite female characters ever. 4 just really changed the whole thing up, in a refreshing way. I think the recent break out star of the series is Revelations. I played it on the 3DS before the port was made, and was blown away by how good it was. It was probably the most excited I've been about a Resi game since 4. I genuinely enjoyed 7 from a pure survival horror perspective. I usually play Resi with the lights off, and actually faltered a bit here. But yeah, I was disappointed in Chris' look, too - I didn't recognise him at first, and then I was like "is this a cousin or long lost brother or something??" Still, at least Capcom seem to be getting back on their feet.

I love love LOOOOOOOVE Resident Evil so much, I'm a huge nerd for it. I was pretty nervous about RE7–like really, we need a Resident Evil-flavored PT rip off? And there are no returning playable characters? But it was so, so good. Even though it was completely different from all the previous games, somehow it still *felt* Resident Evil. I picked up the Season Pass, even ("Bedroom" is worth it alone), and I can't wait to see how they tie Chris into the whole thing.
One of the best things about the series for me is that there are SO MANY female characters and they feature prominently in every game since the very beginning. They're as important as/just as capable as the male characters, and they're (mostly) not solely eye candy. It's great.
My favorite game is absolutely the GameCube remake of the first game, but I love RE2 (WHERE'S THAT REMAKE), Code Veronica, and both Revelations. Played waaaaaaayyyyyy too much Raid Mode in both. Even the so-so titles are still fun to me–I particularly like the Helena/Leon portion of RE6. Anything with Claire or Jill is an automatic A+, whether it's a dodgy animated film or a SUPER dodgy tie-in novel (I love that whole corny series of books).

hamsteru Ah, I do envy cosplayers! I've always wanted to do a brother/sister cosplay as Chris and Claire! I love his design in Code: Veronica, and the sibling theme is prominent in that one. I'd still love to do it someday! I may have only played through RE6 once, but the Chris campaign was definitely my favorite. I really loved Piers as a character.... and as Chris' boyfriend!
I definitely became a huge Nivanfield fan myself after that! There was definitely enough there to interpret a deeper relationship between the two, and they just go so well together. Apparently, there was also a tease about it in Revelations 2? It always makes me happy seeing them together in fan art, like the one you posted! Seeing Chris, one of my heroes, as a gay man over the years has definitely given me strength. The Resident Evil Remake is definitely a masterpiece. The remaster, while still beautiful, is a bit of a disappointment though. I always wonder just how much better it would have been if given the same treatment as Resident Evil Zero. Zero is one of my all time favorite games (being my first proper Resident Evil game), so I was happy that it was also given a proper remaster. Zero was given a lot of care and love, and it shows. The backgrounds looks amazing and so realistic in the remaster. The Remake's remaster, however, has a lot of poorly handled backgrounds that just don't look good. There is a huge difference in quality between the two. ...But that didn't stop me from buying multiple copies of each on PS3, PS4, and PC! FadelessRipley Yes, I agree that Sheva was a good character! Since it was brought up, I have to disagree about Ashley! She is actually one of my favorite characters in the series despite being from a game I don't like. I think Carolyn Lawrence did an amazing job in the role...and I already loved her as Sandy from SpongeBob. Ashley was much more fitting as a protagonist for a survival horror game. Her little section is one of the few things I like about RE4. It was fun playing as her and trying to survive while doing some classic Resident Evil style gameplay. She isn't completely useless...she can drive a truck! I honestly wouldn't mind seeing her again! I do agree about Wesker, although I never really cared for him as a villain anyway. The Haunting of Praise Adrast I'm ashamed to admit that despite being a huge fan...I haven't played the Revelations games! I haven't played Operation Raccoon City either even though it's the only one with a canon (yet not canon) gay character so far. They are on my list though! Hopefully I'll get a chance to try them out later this year! I also have all the novels, but I've only read the one based on Resident Evil Zero. They're all currently in storage so I can't go back to them just yet! I do love the animated films though! I'm actually going to watch Vendetta in theaters soon and I am so excited! I've been waiting for this for so long! I was cautiously optimistic about Resident Evil 7, but I am extremely excited about the Resident Evil 2 remake! After seeing just how well they can handle the classic survival horror gameplay with Resident Evil 7, I am confident that they can give us something amazing for Resident Evil 2. Alyson Court even hinted in a recent interview that she is involved somehow. It wouldn't be Claire Redfield without her! I'm hoping some other original cast members (Sally Cahiil as Ada, at the very least) also return. With the game's 20th anniversary coming up soon, I'd be surprised if we don't get anymore information on the remake soon.

Ah, I do envy cosplayers! I've always wanted to do a brother/sister cosplay as Chris and Claire! I love his design in Code: Veronica, and the sibling theme is prominent in that one. I'd still love to do it someday! Oh that was a quick cosplay for just one livestream. I also did a "Piers Nivans" cosplay for a French convention called "Japan Expo". But yeah, even if Chris used to be shipped with Jill Valentine, he sure fits a lot with Piers Nivans (Pieeeeers!!! T_T). And you're right, in Revelations 2 there's a letter that you can quickly find and read and also there's some very quick "wink" about it in the ending. Rumour is that when they worked on "HD Remaster", they did not have the source material (textures of backgrounds, etc.) and had to use some tricks after they ripped everything from a retail version. Dunno if it's true but it might explain why some parts have been completely redone from scratch. I remember I wanted them to also port the remakes on PSVita so I could play them everywhere/anywhere but instead they tried to make some weird port of Revelations 2 that didn't sell much... Resident Evil 7 was definitively a "back to the origins" kind of experience they made and it was refreshing! I still remember when they released the awesome teaser at E3, I got chills and the weather wasn't to be blamed! But sadly, it's a "first person" survival kind of game which is very hard for me to play because I tend to be "too immersed" and feel anxious... Gotta have to find a boyfriend to play as I'll watch or just watch some Youtube playthrough... :/ Now that I finished Mass Effect Andromeda, I can start focusing on some RE games on my PS4 so except so screenshots at some point. Davrin's boobs: Do you play on PS4? We can try to do the campaign online together. Meanwhile, sorry for the long post, please accept this hunky Chris as an apology.

I've got Spanish origins so I can understand it and quickly talk Spanish (used to be very fluent when I was a kid). But yeah, please let me know. Other than that, I'm proud to show you that Chris is protecting my desk at work. It's not the beefcake version but it's already something.

hamsteru Oh, wow! Now that I think about it...it would also be pretty sweet to have a boyfriend for a Piers/Chris cosplay! It just seems like a lot of fun getting together with other fans at conventions dressed as your favorite characters...and I've wanted to do that with Resident Evil for such a long time now! I've gone through so many tutorials and stuff over the years to prepare for it, and I think as soon as I am more financially stable I'll attempt it myself. ...Of course I'll drag my sister into it as Claire. Ah, yes..."Valenfield"...we have dismissed that claim. (Sorry, had to include a Mass Effect reference!) Honestly...I personally was never a fan of that ship and just couldn't see it as a thing. It's a strong friendship, yes...but that's all I ever saw it as. Even before Piers came along to confirm his homosexuality, I've always seen Chris as a gay man. I used to spend so much time looking up fan art, parody animations, fan films, cosplays, and fan fiction for this series...a lot of which just happened to depict him in that way, so at least I knew I wasn't alone. It's also probably part of the reason why I ship classic Chris with Richard from the first game. There was also plenty of Chris/Wesker content out there! But yeah...I'm really happy Nivanfield came into my life. Yeah, I remember reading that as well. I don't know if I believe though. They were probably looking for some quick money before realizing how successful it would be. With Zero, they actually brought back the original development team and heavily promoted their work on the game. Their effort on that beauty really shows. I think Resident Evil 7 would have been amazing if it had been more like the originals with fixed camera angles instead of the first person perspective. Aww, yeah that would be very sweet! I myself hope to someday find a boyfriend that would play through these games with me. Chris looks really good in that image. I always loved that costume for obvious reasons. It's been too long since I've had a chance to properly play through all the Resident Evil games. I've been wanting to play RE5 again for so long now! I loved playing that one with friends. I've also wanted to revisit RE6. It's been nearly five years since I last played that one. Haha, if anyone should apologize for long posts, it's me. I always go overboard on topics I enjoy such as this. That little Chris protecting your desk is cute! I wanted to buy one of those, but I really need to save money at the moment!

I actually never played RE0 before. However, I've got the XBox Live Season Pass now, so I nabbed it. Looking forward to giving it a go. I've always had a soft spot for Rebecca Chambers, despite her presence during the Chris campaign being...incredibly annoying. I think it's because of S.D Perry's RE novelisations - anyone else ever read those? She wrote novelisations of the first 3 games, and also a couple of her own stories. I loved them as a teen, but haven't read them in years so perhaps they're actually total crap. Code: Veronica was actually one of my favourites, even though the controls drove me up the walls. "Yay, let's finally utilise the PS2 analog stick, but let's still keep the D pad direction requirements! " Poor Claire just twirled around on the spot in drunk circles for about five minutes I actually liked the story, though, as well as Chris and Claire finally reuniting. The twins were genuinely creepy antagonists. I never shipped Chris & Jill, because I thought it was nice having a really strong, opposite-sex friendship being depicted anywhere was really cool. I tend to get almost as excited about that as I do about subtext & shipping. Like I really loved how the MCU ditched all the complicated romantic baggage between Black Widow and Hawkeye, and just made them solid BFFs. Also, I tend to ship Jill with Claire anyway.

:screaming: Code Veronica is my favorite game besides Remake. Claire is goddess. But I do love Jill because she's the master of unlocking.
Half of my life is said in RE1 quotes and Leon is so lame but he seems to think he is so cool (I mean lame with love and he's just a nerd who thinks he's smooth but is not).
I loved RE6's cast. Piers and Chris are so gay. The sexual tension was overwhelming. Piers was so in love with Chris who was consumed with AnGsTT
Helena needs to be a lesbian because come on.
And that's it lol

FadelessRipley I hope you enjoy Resident Evil Zero! It's the game that rekindled my love for the series during my early teen years. Rebecca (along with Chris) has always been one of my favorite video game protagonists. The Resident Evil characters have been a huge source of inspiration for me, as well as keeping me sane during rough/lonely times. The HD remaster for Zero is GORGEOUS. They put a lot of effort into making it more beautiful than it originally was and even had the original developers working on it. Ah, yes Rebeca was a protagonist in one of the original novels! I've only read the novel based on Zero, which I believe was S.D. Perry's final book for the series, and she did an excellent job at adapting the game and characters. I have a lot of love for Code Veronica. As I've said, I identify quite strongly with these characters. It's been that way for so long now! I really love the sibling theme being so prominent in that game - as I am quite close with my own sister. I think they really handled showing the two different sibling bonds between the Ashfords and Redfields quite well. Also, I totally agree that they worked very well as villains. I loved discovering more about their origins and seeing them in the game. They're probably some of my favorite video game antagonists. The game's level design and soundtrack worked so well together. I loved how you could really hear the insanity of the Ashford family in them, and I just LOVE Alexia's lullaby. I definitely agree with you about Chris and Jill. It's nice to see strong, platonic bonds like that. Jill is already a strong character on her own and doesn't need a relationship with Chris to interfere with that! Jill and Claire would be an awesome pair, although I have a soft spot for anything Claire/Steve. JewlieGhoulie Haha, yeah see above for my love of Code Veronica. I love quoting Resident Evil as well! ...People probably think I'm strange when I do it though. Ah, I love the franchise so much...but they have been pretty terrible with their LGBT representation! Whether it was intentional or not, I totally agree that Chris and Piers were very gay. I wasn't even looking for anything like that the first time I played, but the game was practically screaming "LOOK AT THESE TWO GAY MEN. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!" It's only fair, I guess, since Sherry had Jake and Leon had Ada! So yeah, it would totally be awesome if we got some representation like Helena as well.

I remember the scandal there was when people saw this guy as "Redfield" in Resident Evil 7 haha. Even Capcom had to step up and release an announcement to explain why hehe. Gotta admit that I like beefy Chris, he looks like a strong teddy bear that will fight monsters under the bed! @heather_mason_sh3 and JewlieGhoulie : we all agree that Piers and Chris seem to enjoy calibrating each other's weapon! FadelessRipley : Great! Let us know if you enjoyed it.
