still thinking taking away her original outfit is dumb tho, I hope there are alternative costumes I'm still not really a fan of her new outfit, but this game does look very good! It feels so strange seeing a game I absolutely love and have played a million times all redesigned...new yet so familiar. I'm still going in 100% blind so I can get a fresh experience, but I am very excited for this one...and they teased a secret unlockable that people have been speculating is the rumored fixed-camera mode....if so...very exciting! I am definitely hoping they include Claire's original outfit (along with Sherry's and Ada's) as either things you can unlock or (ugh) purchase as DLC! Still sad about Alyson Court not returning though... |

I'm so in love with Claire now, she looks so badass, and the wings/valkyrie in the back it's a nice wink to the original design. ยก but I am very excited for this one...and they teased a secret unlockable that people have been speculating is the rumored fixed-camera mode....if so...very exciting! this would absolutely make my entire year!!! This game has to have some of the worst voice acting I've heard in this series...it's like they're not even trying. Claire's easily has to be the worst, like it's the actresses' first job or she doesn't care about the role. It's a shame they decided to go the cheap path and exclude Alyson Court and other unionized actors from past games. I'm still very excited for this game and I will play it without a doubt...but that part is disappointing. Nice to see the bonus costumes though! I was hoping Claire would be blonde as Elza, but just having the costume is enough already!  Still hoping there is a lot more than that in the game though, like Resident Evil Zero's remaster which included every single outfit Rebecca has ever had over the years and more! |

played the 1-shot demo, it was great but it's only with Leon.
I really liked how tense it felt, it was pretty dark, a zombie was hidden in a locker and it made jump, I think it takes around 3 shots to the head to kill zombies (them falling down isn't a death, with only crit. hits being a for sure death), I missed out on stuff and didn't make it to the end of the demo (I think I might've been close but I don't know), really like how detailed it looks, I shot a zombie with the shotgun and both sides of his head was just a bloody mess, I didn't get bit or grabbed.

Started Playing this, it makes me feel so tense. Started with Claire's Campaign, Marvin Branagh seems nicer to her (he was more stern with Leon from what I remember in the demo). I've been using Chris' Samurai Edge, no idea what differences it has compared to Jill's and Albert's Samurai Edges or the normal pistols. Also I like Leon's casual clothes that he starts off in, apparently he puts his police gear later.
So, why didn't Chris tell his sister that he wouldn't be in Raccoon City?

Making slow progress (I usually get scared about making progress in horror games), I don't think I've done a good job with conserving my ammo or health items and I'm playing on standard. Made it to the Sewers. I really liked Sherry's bit in the orphanage (Zambos? Mr. X? Lickers? None of those losers are as scary as a rapist police chief!). Sherry's mom is pretty awful for leaving Sherry in a garbage dump, and being more interested in studying her now mutant husband. Biggest "Oh shit!" moment was when G killed Mr. X, since he was pretty scary stomping around the R.P.D. It sounds like they got T.J. Rotolo back to voice Birkin. I like the model viewer, it's always nice being able to have a good look at the character models. |

Finally managed to get through the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I will say that while it is an amazing game and I do love it...I think it pales in comparison to the first REmake...and probably even the original game. I enjoy p[laying it and seeing the differences as well as playing through one of my favorite games in a new way...but it still lacks that "charm" the classics had....and it's definitely annoying not having Alyson Court as Claire's voice actress.
Still, I was pleasantly surprised that the recreated one of my favorite scenes from the original game!
I always preferred Leon A so I was happy that the confrontation between Leon and Ada where she was shot by Annette was kept in the game! I played as Leon first and would say I am about halfway through Claire's story. I'm using the alternate outfits and classic soundtrack this time and it's definitely quite an experience this way! I'm also looking forward to using the new '98 costumes...but I wish they also applied to Sherry and Ada! Also Davrin's boobs I was pretty sad when this game confirmed Chris as straight in one of the most annoying ways possible...but it made me a bit happy to hear Claire say "that doesn't sound like Chris" after reading the note. Anyway...that's not going to stop me from seeing Chris as a gay man the way I have all these years...I'm stubborn. 
I've been going through the Resident Evil games with my boyfriend recently, mostly in preparation for the RE2 Remake. I got him to play the original game as Chris (which was pretty difficult due to the lack of auto aim and ink ribbons!), and the Leon A Claire B scenarios in the second game. He then watched me play through Claire A/Leon B on the N64. He's been watching me play through the remake as well and it's been a lot of fun sharing my knowledge of the franchise with him as well as getting his thoughts as a newcomer!

Andrew Mancer Aw yeah i read about that, it seems he used some kind of code to let Claire knows that he went to Europe to search Umbrella facility. I cant see them confirming Chris as gay man but since we're always gonna be craving for content and characters that is for sure open for interpretation and Claire's comment about it just fits with the subtext.
