I wish mods of that nature were on consoles. Also, wish they'd make the other 2 romances bisexual with this extra dev time they were granted.

I watched someone play the dlc for a little over an hour. So far I'm not that impressed, but one can't expect much for the nature of it I guess. A mid-story 7 buck dlc was never going to be a huge game-changer I suppose, but I do hope it gets more interesting. I'm still on the fence about picking it up, but I might.

I just started it. At least the companions have new lines! I was worried they'd just stand there like zombies because they didn't bring the VAs back.

So, I'm playing the DLC with my multi romance mod installed. Your love interest brings up the congregation's marriage contracts with concern.
Siora - De Sardet says the Prince would approve of their relationship because it would be politically useful.
Aphra - Aphra says she knows it's just political and the only thing that matters is how they feel about each other.
Vasco - Vasco says if a fiance shows up on the island the two of you can head out to sea together and there's nothing the prince can do about it.
Kurt- De Sardet can ask Kurt to get married and Kurt accepts even though he warns you that you'll lose your position because he's not an appropriate match for a noble.

I can't start the stupid thing because the game acts like I don't have the dlc. Did you not even get the notification box when you started the game saying it was at any camp? I did. Loading screen of game says about the dlc and scroll being available at any camp when the dlc can be played (i.e when you reach those quests needs to start it.) I went to any camp, clicked on the scroll that was there, and it acts like I need to buy the dlc. I click the scroll, and rather than letting me take it and the quest starting, it goes to the next screen instead. The dlc is definitely installed but the game is acting like I don't have it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the dlc, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game again. No difference.

So I played the DLC. I'd say it's worth the seven bucks for me. I liked the little bit of extra romance content (just the line mentioned above sadly). Also liked that talking to your companions at camp after certain points in the quest will grant new dialogue with them. I think there was 3 or 4 new talking moments I wasn't really counting..but yeah check after every step along the way just talk to the ones you are with and if they get new dialogue it's a sign you should check in at a camp!
The new side quest line(which is all the dlc amounts to) is nice enough and feels like the base game content for what that is worth-so if you liked that and are ready for a bit more of the same then go for it. If you are looking for a game changer-save your money.
On the loot front, you get a few drops of things (mostly poison resistant gear)-I assumed to make the harder difficulties more manageable since all the human enemies are wild about poison attacks! The reward gear is just a legendary version of that and looks worse than the stuff already found in the game. Though it's really frilly with the lace so maybe looks better on female De Sardet..or not. -shrug-

What about new enemy? I hope we can encounter them outside new area. The new animal type is only in that one area as far as I know. As for the new human faction I don't think they will appear outside of the quest related segments.

Those anthro lions will make SOMEONE happy, I'm sure... Every game is someone's fetish fuel, right?

Those anthro lions will make SOMEONE happy, I'm sure... Every game is someone's fetish fuel, right? The game has/had so much potential for monster enthusiasts! Too bad it was created by people with obviously limited imagination.

I agree that it was worth the reasonable price, but it's not the sort of DLC that's gonna be making me itch to replay the game like a Legacy. It's definitely more a detailed side quest in the base game rather than something that expands upon the story or universe. Someone isn't going to be missing out on much if the overall experience without it.
But I loved that they included some character content for the companions and the new mob being the villains from Scooby Doo on Zombie Island was hilarious to me.

I mean, I'd say it expands some on the Congregation and the internal politics, an element that was honestly kind of missing from the base game - a lot of jockeying between the other factions, but very little about the one we're supposed to represent. Seeing another member of the same faction trying to usurp power is at least doing something with the Congregation.
And for what I believe is a first time story DLC, it's pretty reasonable to keep things small and contained. Especially considering the smaller studio (y'know, as opposed to BioWare). I mean, hell, look at how BioWare advanced their DLC - this comes across a lot like Bring Down the Sky was for ME1, in that it functions much like the base game, keeps things fairly centered and self-contained, and is a relatively short period of game play.

I would hope they learned their lesson as at least one of them recognized making Vasco bi instead of gay was 'unfair' but honestly I would rather they have just gone all bi and I still find Kurt being straight because of his past being shady as fuck.
I enjoyed the game and the story but I'm still salty at the options and the fact my first playthrough was ruined because I didn't perfectly pick all the dialogue options correctly and ruined my chance at romance because of it. So yeah, cautiously interested but not going to get invested unless they prove they've learned from the first game.

Honestly, I'm fucking hyped about this. Greedfall is one of the few games that have come out in the last 5 years that got me to replay it and I never hoped for a sequel. The setting and atmosphere are really something special.
Hopefully they'll do all bi this time if there's only four romances again. I played Kurt's with a mod and still prefer Vasco, but 2 straight/2 bisexual is shitty.

Interesting. I still haven't played the first game even though I own it, so now I have more of a reason to get to it. Maybe I'll do it this summer. Does anyone have a spoiler-free guide to getting the Vasco romance? From what I've read here, I don't want to accidentally miss out on it.

So there is a trailer for it as well if you haven't seen it. It's set for a 2024 release and it is a prequel set three years before the first game.
