I have decided I shall get the game despite the foretold issues. Not sure if I'll get it today or next week, but sometime soonTM Hopefully it's still fun despite any issues. I did really enjoy it a lot and it's on my list of things to replay some day. |

(other than Waylanders that won't be out on console for a while) |

PS4 doesn't offer an import function so I had to just guess on some of those choices for the history creation. Also not sure what I'm doing with a lot of things so far. Still...I'm muddling through so far. I'll probably play through this slowly at first till I get a better handle on things. the turn-based option is okay so far, but it needs more tooltips on which spell/abilities I am picking. Just picking the mini-picture of a spell is not enough information for me.  Perhaps it'll be more informative later though..-shrug- |

The load times were a little long when k played it back when it first came out, but I assumed it was because I was running it on a pretty terrible laptop. yea i have new gaming laptop and all big action games work just fine but poe2 is slow as hell  |

I am still on the first island. I don't know if I'm doing things in a good order or not, but I knew where to find aloth so I went there after doing some exploring in the first area (saved some guy in a cave and fought a boar on the beach in the first area). I recruited aloth now, and am exploring the dig site dungeon. Taking a break though as the load times have gotten way worse since I got aloth. I guess Elves are complicated. hue hue. But seriously-I can tell I'll just have to find something to do during load times, cause they are going to be an issue. Perhaps play pokemon while loading. maybe not..but something. |

I took a break to play another game, but I'm back to this again. Still going through it slowly though. the load times make any other rate pretty impossible anyway. I got all the party members recruited (the main 7 anyway). Xoti's accent will be epic-not sure if good or bad though. Aloth is still my favorite so far. Not a shocker really there since he left a good impression on me in the first game where I disliked most everything. |

Well since I'm a moon godlike he originally said it was because of his relationship with Ondra, but when I pressed him on it he said he wasn't attracted to the things that come with being a godlike. I'm really annoyed that they bothered to program that in, especially when one of his only reputation dislikes is racism. (Also I could maybe understand it for the other godlike varieties, but moons are hot as hell. They're blue people with pretty minor head ornaments.) |

Damn I have to re roll now. I am a moon godlike as well and I am not sure exactly why but Serafen is so god damn fine.
Any one have class recommendations? I’m a fanatic but I kind of don’t like any of the paladin dispositions.

I rerolled human half soul blade and I tweaked the dispositions of a mod added priest of Abydon and swapped the earth themed stuff for some mirror image type spells and it’s super fun and changed the description of the kit to be about losing faith in the gods after POE1. Definitely closer to my preferred play style of any fantasy game: try and make a Moonlight Greatsword from Soulsborn type spell blade. But now I wanna make a nature themed Paladin. Why did I open the making mods pandora’s Box. Or like a “Hellfire” warlock type... maybe barbarian? |

So Deadfire is on Xbox Game Pass now, so I guess I'll try it with the faster load times and see if it wins me this time around. I have my doubts, but hey-ya never know!

Bringing this thread back from the dead because I just picked up POE1 (and Deadfire) and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I've done what I can so far, but now I've two locations to choose from and I'm not sure where I should head first. Most of my current map. Do I go to Dyrford Village, or Defiance Bay first? I haven’t played PoE1 in years but I believe Defiance Bay first and the Dyrford is better as you pick up quests to areas around Dyrford from Defiance Bay.

Most of my current map. Do I go to Dyrford Village, or Defiance Bay first? Dyrford has lower leveled quests to a point... But you'll most likely have to put a quest or 2 on hold till latter. Seems like the game had decent quest challenge warnings at least! Though I found the game was way too ready to flood you with massive info drops far too frequently. |

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up going to Dyrford Village first and did everything I could find there - though I did get a bit of a reputation hit with some group? in Defiance Bay, so that should be fun when I go there.  |
