So I finally finished the game, I'm going to sum up some things in the most short way possible.
About companions:
The ones from the celtic era were really great, and its a shame there wasnt more money into them to have more conversations or even banter between them, I think thats the true heart of these kind of games and it's very noticeable when theres lack of that heart. I mean even Spiders which is an AA developer needs to work on that so I'm not asking an indie tiny studio to do the same, they tried but when theres no money to do content it is really evident sadly.
The ones in the medieval era were not that great with some exceptions but I think it was done purporsely to show "that medieval-esque" gloomy feeling, personally I was not a fan but I get it. I'm not going to delve into their celtic personas cause I think they all are pretty cool.
Cool
- Delba is the only one that didnt change a bit since she is immortal and went underground, love this kid.
- Rea changed to show her human self and I think was really cool, its a shame the game didnt let me to know her better, I remember something about her wanting kids but no plot about that was showed in the game.
- Nazhedja being a hag-looking witch after being tortured and hunted by templars over the centuries was a cool change. Wish we could know more of her future self though.
Neutral- Brigg, from a warrior to a matron and mother of a child, I mean theres an inner strength on being a single mother in the medieval times, I dont know if that was what devs were trying to imply but I buy that idea, sadly her quest is bugged too so I didnt get to know Madalena well.
- I thought I was going to hate the idea of "Frankenstein Berath" but I'm kinda digging it (fucking love me some drama) unfortunately I think the execution was badly done and it lacked of content, his quest was fine but with no reactivity to the romance it was a waste of a chance.
- Heraklios was meh to me, on the edge to be horrible, from a proud greek warrior to sad christian warrior... I mean even his celtic persona really needs some content, the impostor syndrome is implied but not that much and its a shame.
- Amergin, the thing with him is that I dig his storyline but I dont know what happened to him and why he turned into his dark self besides some tiny bits he explains so I'm gonna put him in the neutral list, because it felt out of nowhere *cough Constantin cough*
Horrible- Khaldun, from an empowered egyptian woman necromancer to a prudish antimagic UGLY christian priest, like what the fuck happened with that lmao
- Mal was so cool in the celtic era, like turning her into a killer with urges was a pretty bland idea, her character in the medieval era felt so "wuhaahah" caricaturesque.
No fucking clue- Traste's quest is bugged for life so I have no idea whats going on with him in the body of that child lol
ps. the design of companions in the medieval era, except for Amergin, Nazhedja, Rea and Berath, all were very boring looking, but I would hit medieval Heraklios for science
About the lore of the game is very unique and frest and its a damn shame the game ended up being the kind of unfinished mess that is, I think that with one more year of developing it could have been a really great game, but the medieval era is a bug mess and you need to do some magic to advance in the story, its painful to say it since I had great hopes for the game but its not worth the money (maybe if it goes on 95% sale lol). But the story is cool even with its plot-holes due being unfinished, like it is implied in the future that they defeated the Tuatha de Danann but nothing happened anywhere in the story so I'm sure there was more to tell and Dark Amergin storyline was just rushed to release the game, one thing cool about it is that maybe they changed the future since young Amergin helps you to defeat him, but alas the game ends after that and theres only one epilogue about who rules (Tiana or Lugaid, or both)
About romance reactivity I watched some playthrough for when I was stuck on youtube and I know Tiana has some cool things pre-final battle, I dont know if she is the only one to have that privilege (very likely) but I know Berath has no romance content with his future persona, its true that you dont meet Tiana in the medieval era so theres that. Maybe Amergin has something to say since he didnt reincarnate but thats something Im not going to even try, maybe if Gato Studio rise from the dead and fix its game lol
I'm gonna try to contact to Sergio Prieto through twitter to see if he can respond to some questions I have, so if you guys have some let me know, dunno if he is gonna answer back but I'm gonna try anyway.
its pretty late so forgive my english
