From the guides I've found so far they only mention four women (one of whom can still be with your brother when you pursue her ) and one guy. Why am I not surprised. I'm so glad I didn't buy this game. No idea who this second guy supposedly is as I've only found the one mentioned in different guides. Glad there's a couple more showing up at least. Any of them serious relationships though? (as in can you go back and kiss them again like you can with some of the women?) The comments in the flyting video mention a guy named Vili who can move to your settlement Edit: According to a comment on the BSN there are only two hair style options for female Eivor

I did the Vili story, even though it was above my level, and "move to your settlement" seems to mean become an option for your boat/raiding roster (non-talking, non-interactable). It's jarring that he went from a story character to scenery.
I don't know if the Randvi stuff is deeper than Petra, but it turns out that there is a Petra-level (repeatable interactions) male character in the settlement. He's kind of a weird match for male Eivor, but that's better numbers than when I thought there were none.

What's the name of the guy with repeatable interactions? lol, might be a bad sign that I had to boot up the game to check because I don't know his name His name is Tarben, He's the baker in your settlement and you can talk to him once you build the bakery

Edit: Screenshot Cool, we have one romance option at least then. Thanks for finding him for us.

Randvi is far superior in term of romance compare to male long term relationship (Tarben) We got 2 short quest/activity for Traben before romance is officially open while Randvi have one long meaningful quest before that. She even kiss Eivor first and player can't avoid that. Why no one taking about this!? . Of course I turn her down but that definitely make me a bit disappoint.

Yikes, I will hopefully find out how to avoid taking her quest that far then. I have no interest in forced romance even if it's just a kiss.

It’s part of this extended questline started by telling her she needs to get out of the longhouse. Ignore her character talk and you get to avoid it entirely.
Which... I’m of mixed feelings. I feel like this is something that, at least, should carry some repercussions down the line, but I get the feeling it won’t, particularly if you shut it down (and the shut down itself honestly felt kinda weak, as if, to no surprise, it’s expected that Eivor be at least interested in her, even if they feel bound to turn her down, rather than completely uninterested in her). Especially with how she is the wife of the leader of the Raven Clan. Like, just the fact that she did have this moment of kissing someone not her husband... Especially given Eivor’s connection to her husband, it SHOULD be a thing that matters, whether or not something actually happens.
But I honestly would like it as a character beat for Randvi if it could just have some weight to it. Because otherwise, Randvi is a pretty flat character, there more to man the map like Claudia and the book at Monteriggioni in AC2 than a character in her own right.

Me frantically raiding all around Mercia so that I can have enough supplies and materials to build the bakery and get my hands on that sexy hairy Norse baker, Tarben. Sigurd and Randvi must be wondering why a bakery is top priority when we still don't have a stable or Hidden Ones headquarters, but I've got my reasons. I actually really like this game. I couldn't ever get into Odyssey and I really think that it's because of the lack of customization options. Being able to change Eivor's appearance goes a long way for me. I'm really enjoying this game so far. Hopefully they keep Randvi's grubby paws off of Eivor. I will be very displeased if they force a romance between them in the future. Also, my Jomsvikingr is a short fat little viking lady with face tattoos named Gudvor Sharp-Blade. And I put her in the berserker gear and gave her a hammer and flail. If anyone is playing on xbox and wants to friend up so we can bring each other's Jomsvikingr on raids, let me know. My xbox handle is daveliamj.

Sigurd and Randvi must be wondering why a bakery is top priority lol I finished all the plotlines except The Order, and they do try one more time after all that to get you with Randvi So hopefully they got that out of their system before any DLCs

This game is just too damn long for its own good. I have a good seventy plus hours on it now, and I'm MAYBE, I think two thirds of the way through. I have spent less time in a given Dragon Age Inquisition run, and we all mocked how long that game went on.
It doesn't help that at least half of the alliances to make are done in a way that don't even involve the Order, so it's like... What's even the point from the standpoint of the PLOT?
Although, irritatingly enough, I'm pretty sure that my take on Eivor has him falling for Hytham, who is non-romanceable... *beleaguered long suffering gay sigh*

This game is just too damn long for its own good The m/m romance in this game in bad. Randvi saves it a bit for m/f or f/f but Tarben ends up being a romance vending machine after his admittedly interesting quest. There are a few hot and not so hot guys who are DTF or you can flirt with. Vili was the best I think and really sweet. Vili shoulda had more quest time. But really, not just canonically, but in the very game you are playing... There is no m/m romance because Eivor is a woman. Even your own Eivor who can choose to look like a man. End game spoilers: Eivor Varinsdottir (daughter of Varin) is your character's name no matter what. Even if your Eivor looks like a dude. Eivor is also an old fashioned female name in Nordic countries.. like Ethel or something. It's not unisex.
Male Eivor doesn't exists and is in fact just a visual representation of Odin superimposed by the animus over the actual female Eivor because she holds his consciousness in her DNA. This is why there was a fuck up with the animus to begin with. There were two data streams, Odin's and Eivor's. You play Eivors memories but you can choose to appear as Odin physically.
But every character sees you for what you are - a woman. Which is why they play the pronoun game so much and I even got called she a few times although I don't know if that was a bug. They go out of their way to not use "he" or call you a man unless you are playing as Odin in Asgard, which is the only time the Animus "decides" to portray you as a man if you choose that option.
So you don't really get to be non-canon in your own playthrough. No matter what, you are a woman but you can do man drag that only you, the player will see.
So I don't know WHY they marketed this game with male Eivor at all.
The upside is that you end up with a character that is way more sensitive and in touch with his feelings and nobody is bothered by that, delivered with great voice acting, the anti-Alexios. The unfortunate thing is that female Eivor is awful and just grunts like an emotionless gorilla most of the time. The two performances are night and day.

Wow, I expected nothing and they managed to outdo themselves in still disappointing me. F for anyone who spent money on this game expecting better than the Odyssey shitshow.

That is exceptionally dumb, I'm glad I'm super meh about vikings. Aside from Origins, where I know what to expect, and replaying Odyssey, I guess I can go back to ignoring AC exists.

Thanks Ubisoft, I hated it. (to everything in the spoiler tag above about gender) Even though I played it for 176 hours and bought the Ultimate addition (because I'm a fucking idiot who doesn't learn apparently), the only feeling I had when I finished was.... I'm so glad that's over. I have so many gripes with this game and the only reason I put so much time in was because I knew I quickly knew I wasn't going to do a second playthrough so I wanted to get the most out of it, I have too much time on my hands because of COVID lockdown 3 and I paid waaay too much money to just give up before I saw the ending (which is was a big old mess and I was like. Am I done? Was that it?) But the biggest thing that pissed me off is that little by little the game kept reminding me that I was playing it wrong for playing as a guy. I didn't understand what they meant at first when they said both genders are canon (which is bullshit) and the game doesn't make it explicit for a long time, or ever really, what is going on. I guess they did it on purpose to not spook the neckbeards but it was a stupid choice. I actually really like my Eivor even if he only existed in my mind I started a save to test playing it the "right" way but i felt so cheated and resentful and fem Eivor is so awful (in the opening hours at least) that I have up. As for the rest of the game, the story and characters were mostly really boring. I live in England, I like the countryside here but it's mostly flat and the weather is mild all year round, even in the North. It's not that interesting a place to hang out in compared to Norway in the beginning of the game. The idea that the Yorkshire could be under 6 feet of snow for months at a time was stupid unless our climate has changed much in a thousand years. I guess it could have. But York (Jorvik) was too far North on the map anyway... and Portchester which is about a 10 minute drive from my house was halfway to London and east of Chichester (which it isn't... just look at Google maps). Anyway, Dark Ages England felt like 21st century England - some pretty countryside but geographically uninteresting and the towns and cities are dumps I guess a big difference is we don't have random American children giving me 90 second side quests today. There were some good things. It's not the worst game ever made or anything. But I'm still too bitter and salty to think about that now because it was overall a big disappointment for me. I wanted a big gay Viking adventure and it was so long and boring and nowhere near gay enough, unless you're a lesbian I guess.
