So uhhh, I ended up putting my new Inquisitor on hold because I was consumed by the overpowering urge to replay my favourite one. Whoops. No matter how many hours I have in this game or how many times I've explored every last corner of every map, the completionist in me wants to do it all over again and discover all the things.

What have I done today in Thedas, let's see... I saved some soldiers from the Avvar camped out in the Fallow Mire Recruited Bull's Chargers We almost got our asses kicked by the Fereldan Frostback, but we managed to kill it. I met Dorian in Redcliffe, but then decided to go after Templars...I'm sure not all mages will be gone by the time I get back there (yeah, that's like the only way I can justify going after Templars...I just wanted Calpernia as enemy boss rather than Samson ) I also pissed off almost everyone by conscripting said Templars. And of course I recruited Cole.

So, another update on my doings. Maybe not exactly all from today, but hey, entering Skyhold for the first time and talking to everyone takes hours. After we conscripted the Templars, we went to close the Breach once and for all. We were successful, and then we had a party...and of course, Coryphyspit had to ruin it. He marched his legions of Venatori fanatics all the way into these mountains, now bolstered by rebel mages from Redcliffe (well shit, there goes my plan to get them after). Oh and Dorian showed up. He was rather displeased by my ditching him in Redcliffe. Then stuff happened, I dropped an avalanche on Corypheus's (and my) head (but not before he kicked my butt...I blame the dragon), there was singing, Solas led us to a new stronghold and I wound up leading this organisation. Despite my protests. After setting up in Skyhold, we went to do other things. Giselle wanted me to trick Dorian into seeing his father, so of course I told him all about it. We went to see him anyway. It ended badly. Then Qun, friggin' Qun wanted to ally with us. So we went to Storm Coast with Bull and Chargers, met with their representative. He was an elf, Gatt, apparently knew Bull back in Seheron. So we clear these two Vint camps so Qunari dreadnought can hit a Venatori smuggling ship, but uh-oh, things went south when reinforcements went for Chargers's position. Convinced Bull to pull them back, this alliance isn't worth lives of his men. Dreadnought got destroyed, qunari were pissed and Bull was declared Tal-Vashoth. Oooops! After dealing with that mess (they sent assassins after Bull!), we, by that I mean Leliana and I, decided to find out more about this Calpernia who leads mages under Coryphyshit. There was a merchant who supposedly had dealings with Venatori, so I went to pay him a visit...only to find his home trashed, and his guts splattered all over a wall. On the bright side, we did find a lead there, a memory crystal. So we gave it to Dagna, who fixed it, and the split it so we could slip half of it back to Calpernia and spy on her. We learned that she was supposed to become a vessel for something, and that she was forbidden from entering some shrine of Dumat. So naturally, we investigated. And found Calpernia's old mentor. Caged by an elaborate spell. Apparently, Coryphenus wants to turn his dear right hand into a mindless weapon. How nice of him. Oh and he likes to hear himself talk, we found more memory crystals. ...I think I rambled long enough, here, have pictures (mostly of me ) Staring contest with Corypheus Getting lost in a blizzard Here is me feeling sorry for myself In the shrine of Dumat I got a sword! (they didn't let me keep it *pouts*) Errr....I'll just stop there >_<

I haven't touched DA:I in years and now I'm finally replaying it, it's like I want to play all these new (and old) characters all at once. I'm never leaving the Hinterlands. So after clearing almost all of the Hinterlands and procrastinating getting ready to go tackle the other areas before I go deal with the Templar's on Vereial, I paused long enough to finally make my new Qunari Inquisitor for a future playthrough. Now I've finally made him I'm hoping I can finally concentrate on one playthrough at a time. There's like at least three years before we get DA4 I have no need to rush!
Raen will be my first attempt at a Rift Mage since my original playthrough, and planned sole Mage of my party because I enjoy banter between certain companions far too much to bring two Mages like normal. He gives zero fucks about human delicate sensibilities so of course he showed up to the Conclave looking fancy as fuck with his nips out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The last few days I finally finished up the Hinterlands outside of the Dragon, rescued the Inquisition soldiers from the Fallow Mire which somehow felt even more depressing after all this time, and scoped out the Storm Coast as much as I could. Then today I found new and improved ways to traumatize my Mage.

Decided I wanted to play some Bioware after like a year of not touching any DA or ME. Really want to play DAI again, but is it bad that I want to replay the exact same character with the exact same face and make all the exact same decisions?
Cause I just wanna be my nerdy elfy artificer again.

So, I actually finished DAI for the first time now. Would be a lot easier to finish if there weren't so many pointless open world zones that drag on for what feels like forever. Just going to finish my decisions write up in a bullet point fashion because I'm not going to write down half a game and its DLCs the way I did with my last progress post Where were we...oh yeah. -Went to a ball, reunited Celene and Briala (rest in pieces Gaspard) -Did Cassandra's mission and told her to decide for herself what to do with Seekers -Killed the nob who tricked Sera -Left Hawke in the Fade (and felt terrible about it ) -Kicked Wardens out (hey, Cory could take control of them again!) -Helped Solas save his spirit friend...what a tragic quest -Helped make Cole more human -Helped Viviene acquire the heart of the Snowy Wyvern -Bailed Rainier out of prison -Killed Imshael -Convinced Calpernia Coryphyspit is using her -Convinced Abelas to find new purpose -Drank from the Well of Sorrows -Stood against Coryphyshit alone (it felt appropriate somehow) -Haven't romanced anyone (since flirting with Scout Harding does not count as romance) -Cassandra became Divine Victoria Jaws of Hakkon and Descent don't have much in the way of decisions, so I'll just share what I thought about them. Frostback Basin from Jaws of Hakkon is probably the best open world zone in DAI, number of character interactions, central narrative (rather than a vague objective) and Scout Harding definitely helped with that. If they are keeping similar open world design in DA4, they should definitely go with Frostback Basin over the base game zones. Descent was boooooring. I hate the Deep Roads. Sure, neat revelations and all, but the gameplay made it not worth it in my eyes. And have you seen those armours and weapons added by it? So UGLY! As Varric says: "Nothing good ever came out of the Deep Roads" So, then I got to Trespasser with mixed expectations and I bloody loved it! Companions! Drama! Walking out on the Exalted Council! Elfyness! -I walked out on the Exalted Council, channeled Quizzi's inner Shepard -Freed the dragon Qunari brought -I told Solas I'd redeem him -Then I disbanded the Inquisition (with sad tone) -And after that, I became a Red Jenny This is totally not why I decided against getting Leliana elected as the Divine "Leliana continued her romantic affair with the Hero of Ferelden, even though their respective responsibilities often kept them/the two women apart. Whenever she could spare the time, Leliana would join her love at a villa on the Waking Sea - the house from Leliana's childhood. Those days were deeply cherished, for both saw the troubles that were to come." Oh, and pictures! (warning, a lot of pictures )

You don't have to do them all. You just need to get the not-war assets (blanking on the term) to allow you to move the Inquisitor's Path along. I'd also do companion missions, or at least the ones for companions you care about. No need to spend countless hours scouting the Hinterlands.

Haven't touched a single ocularum And Hinterlands might be the zone I find the least tiring

Don't want those shards to appear on my map. I've taken a stab at mosaic pieces but I don't I'll ever complete even one.

I'm missing 1-3 pieces from all mosaic, but I haven't really been collecting them on purpose, just picking them up when the search pulse found one. I also got all the bottles but 2, gathered in the same manner as mosaics. During Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, I missed 2 gossips (though I only had like half of all coins), and I missed 2 or 3 gears from all but the first floor in Descent

Don't want those shards to appear on my map. I've taken a stab at mosaic pieces but I don't I'll ever complete even one. I'm a masochist and on my canon Inquisitor runs, even if it didn't matter I still did the shards quest and hunted down all the Mosaic pieces (mostly because I hated having them half done on the walls) and even did the bottle quest fully. Definitely not necessary and tedious but idk I figured my main Inquisitor's would do all that pointless nonsense. I haven't touched the Shards on my newest runs though just because some of the jumps you need to get the dang things, or figuring out how to reach them is a horrible pain in the butt. I certainly hope DA4 has nothing like this, or at least something like the Mosaics have a quest toggle to find them easier because a lot of them are just in places you generally wouldn't find them even if you are the type to explore everything. I think I've done the shards at least three times. Once each on my two main Inquisitor's and another time on my Nightmare run just because I wanted to slay the dragons and every bit of elemental resistance helped.

romancing morrigan fenris and sera, aka team: Those three are probably the bluntest, but which DA LIs could you truly class as being tactful? Leliana and Josephine, maybe? Cullen? I'm struggling...

I think most of them at least try to soften the blow with diplomacy, or are witty/charming enough that it feels like they're being tactful even if they're not LOL. These three, though.... i love cordelliiiaaaaa

I started a new run of Dragon Age Inquisition. It's been a while for sure, and it feels new again for now at least.
I'm playing a male human DW rouge. I plan to romance Iron Bull. (shocker I know!)
I just finished the Tutorial area and made it to Haven. Probably will stop soon for the night though.

I made a lot of progress since my last post. The usual stuff got done (tons of quests in hinterlands), I recruited some agents, and allied with the mages. (recruited Dorian in the process) Up next I get to go recruit a boyfriend, erm Iron Bull. I will get Sera soon too. I decided I won't even go to meet Vivienne this time.
