gameplay video. (thanks to @kymira ) Interesting to watch though I'm a little concerned only one of the two companions with them seemed to say anything. Maybe it's not implemented for it yet or maybe Ellie just has more presence considering she commented on it at the start. I just hope that the companions would have an equal amount of talking time and that whatever perks and whatnot they might give you doesn't make it feel like you have to take one over the other or you gimp yourself. I won't worry too much just yet, this is only one video but I'll definitely keep my eye out for future ones to see if things change. I'm mostly glad to see the skill checks are used, I rather liked being able to talk my way out of things in New Vegas.  Also interested in the fear/phobia thing. That could be really cool for roleplaying your character also. |

The art style is fantastic! And I can totally trade romances in for a good amount of humor. But I'm gonna pray and hope that at least one of those monster designs can be a cuddly loyal animal companion.  Will be keeping my eye on this one for sure. |

Colorful artstyle isn't for me and it hurt my eyes, but I'll play it regardless. Shame there won't be any romances too, but I know I will enjoy this game for diverse dialogue options! That's something I really missed in bigger RPGs.

Tim Cain, one of the senior developers at Obsidian and the lead designer for the original Fallout did a panel at GX Australia last year that I thought some of you might find interesting. Specifically, it's titled 35 Years In The Game Industry — Things Got Better, and addresses what it's been like for him to work in the industry as a gay man.

There's actually a good amount of rpgs to be hyped about currently! No romance is a bit sad because I like to roleplay and it just helps in that aspect. (Definitely has nothing to do with me already having a small crush of Ellie)
But I can live with no romance if the rpg is still great, and this is looking awesome! I bought Fallout 4 GOTY and I have never been more disappointed. I'm not gonna just hate on Bethesda, but the game just... wasn't fun to me. I didn't enjoy playing it and I deleted pretty soon after. If I'd gotten it on disk, I would have returned it for a buck or two.
It didn't feel like an rpg. It felt like an action game with an rpg mask on, which made it lose its own identity.
I can like action games, Dishonored was so much fun for me, but Fallout 4 wasn't even a good action game.
The Outer Worlds seems to know what it is, and I like that. I don't remember which footage it was from, but the PC had the "dumb" dialogue choices and was called Captain a few times.
Both of those make me excited XD Playing a perfect, smart, strong, character is fun, but I love having a complex, flawed character even more.
And I love being a captain/commander that's what drew me into Mass Effect.
Speaking of that, I haven't seen anyone here mention Beyond Good and Evil 2, which this game reminds me of because of the ships and space and stuff. I'm excited to see more of it, as well.
